When Dodge decided to re-create a modern version of the early 70s Challengers. STS Classics just had to have one -- but it had to be in just the right configuration with six critical criteria.

The first criterion was that it had to be the right color.  Dodge and Plymouth were known during the muscle car era to have the wildest colors like Sub-lime. Plum Crazy. and Hemi Orange. The owner of STS's personal favorite were the green variations. So when he saw this most beautiful medium/darker pearl metallic green come out for a short period of time in the spring of 2011. also known as “Green with Envy”. that was the color of choice. The Green With Envy package included color-matched seat inserts (front and rear. )

The second criterion was the SRT option package. This included the reborn 392 cubic inch Hemi engine with 470hp and 470 foot pounds of torque. the new updated suspension package. the high performance Brembo brakes. leather sports seats. and Alcantera door inserts.

The  third criterion was it had to have a stick shift/manual transmission so that he could put in a pistol grip shifter. Obviously. the pistol grip shifted manual transmission was the only way to go back in the day. For those of you familiar with the cult classic movie Vanishing Point – it would be like having Barry Newman driving that 1970 Dodge Challenger with an automatic transmission – the movie would not have been the same at all.

The fourth criterion was it had to be fully loaded with all the bells and whistles including the sunroof and 730N CD player/DVD player/MP3 player/HDD/navigation system/200 W kicker SRT option group 2 music system.  The stereo system in this car sounds amazing.

The fifth criterion was that it had to have a sunroof to open up when driving on those nice sunny California days.

Finally. the car needed to have those amazing Magnum 500-style 20-inch wheels (also known as the semi-gloss black pocket SRT design wheels. )

With all of these criteria in mind the owner of STS began the search for the car with the color and options listed above. As it turned out. it was not easy to find. The huge majority of cars had automatic transmissions. and one or two that had the manual transmission didn't have some of the other options. Finally. after five months of searching. he found his car.  

This car has always been cared for meticulously and with the greatest attention to detail. It has been serviced per factory recommendations at the local Dodge dealership. An Xpel clear vinyl has been applied to half of the hood and fenders as well as the mirrors to prevent any stone ships. It is in excellent condition with only 26. 35 miles. The car has been detailed. clay barred and waxed every 3 to 4 months. It is always been kept in a temperature controlled and insulated storage garage in Southern California. It has rarely seen rain. It has a clean Carfax and there have been no accidents.

This car has been kept bone stock and has never been abused in any way. The only aftermarket items are the requisite pistol grip shifter and high-quality personalized and color matching carpets. The original shifter and carpets will come with the car. In addition. the owner has purchased the most expensive Dodge factory extended warranty which is fully transferable and comes with the car. It includes the drive train. all electronics. and most every item that comes insured with the original bumper-to-bumper warranty from the factory. This warranty. known as the Mopar Vehicle Protection Planis good through June 23. 2018.
