1965 Buick Skylark

1965 Buick Skylark Convertible. Original 300ci engine with 4bbl carburetor. Power steering. power brakes. power top. tilt steering column. automatic transmission. Built in the Freemont CA plant. sold new in Santa Cruz CA. lived in CA until I brought it here in October 2015. Always garage kept. No rust now and never had rust. One repaint many years ago. still has a nice shine. I have the owners manual. accessory manual. owner warranty book with protecto plate. folding top manual. The protecto plate has the original owners name on it.  The front seat has been recovered and the carpet has been replaced. kick panels are new with speakers but I have the originals. The radio is a newer am/fm with iPod hookup. nbsp;and original radio too. The rest of the interior is original. The top is newer. still looks great. The first 7 pictures were taken on March 4th 2017 and is how it will look when. or if sold.
I have done a few things to make sure it is a good dependable driver. New power brake booster. new dual circuit master cylinder. all new rubber brake hoses. all 4 new wheel cylinders. Serviced front wheel bearings and new seals. replaced both rear axle bearings. new seals and changed the rear end lube. New center link in the steering system and a front end alignment. tires are new. I replaced the heater core and new hoses. the heater controls work well and I replaced the seals inside the heater box and all that works fine. nbsp;the radiator is new. New points and plugs. Professionally rebuilt original four barrel AFB carburetor. I checked everything and did all the maintenance to assure trouble free driving. It drives great and tight. It has the original jack and tools. There are no known problems. The battery cables are new and the starter is a new remanufactured unit from AutoZone with lifetime warranty. It will come with the original correct hub caps. the ones in some of the pictures are incorrect and do not belong to me and have been removed. The exhaust is as new and changed to dual exhaust. As far as I know there are no problems with this car. The pot metal on this car is great. nbsp;only one piece has pitting. the right tail light has pitting on the small curved middle trim bar. All the rest is very nice. the chrome and stainless is also nice. The park light lenses and the reverse light lenses are new reproduction parts and look great.
 If you would come and take a ride in it you would be impressed. it is tight. quiet. comfortable. a great driving convertible. I haven't taken pictures of the underside as there is nothing out of the ordinary. There are NO rust problems there. It still has some of the original dirt. It is very solid. I boxed the lower rear control arms and added a factory rear sway bar. I changed the front sway bar to a larger 1 1/8" bar. The car drives and handles very nice for a mid 60's car. The car has never been detailed under hood. never had any "spray paint" detailing. it is not show ready but it is honest. Even the battery box is all there with no rust holes. I did add 3 new aftermarket rear seat belts for the Grandkids. You can call me if you want. 740-533-0240. with questions.
