1970 MGB Roadster:

This car is a very rare split bumper model that was only offered in 1970.

It has just completed a complete refurbishing. It was restored around 1989 and then put away in dry inside storage until last year when it was moved from MA to CT. The restoration has held up magnificently. This is now a rust free car that had all of the rusted areas replaced with brand new sheet metal and was painted during the restoration. Recent maintenance included new brakes lines. hoses and pads/shoes. interior and top.

The engine has a Weber carburetor so it is easy to start and has excellent drivability.   Other new parts include a Pertronics Electronic Ignition. rebuilt alternator. new battery. safety battery disconnect. new ignition wires. rotor. cap. convertible top and all new weather-stripping.   The wire wheels were professionally stripped trued and powder coated the correct shade of silver. The wheels have brand new Vredestein tires. The electrical system was completely inspected and all connections checked and cleaned.   All of the electrics work correctly.   The differential was just serviced including new  fiber and brass washers . Lots of extras including touch up paint. tonneau supports and more. Over $4000 in parts alone invested.   Needs NOTHING! Documents included.

This car is ready to use and enjoy right now. The BMW M3 Dikar yellow color looks great and makes the car a real standout. This car is in show condition. $500 deposit required within 48 hours and balance within 7 days. This car is sold "as-is".   It is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early. Note: Sold with Bill of Sale only since CT and MA are no-title states for classic cars.

I strongly suggest you or someone you designate. inspect this car before bidding. It is even better looking in person!

Questions: I received a question about the transmission (see below) and did some more research.

Looked at the receipts. The clutch master was rebuilt. clutch slave and hose were replaced in May 2012.  This was when the brakes (complete including lines and hoses) were done as well.  Some of the paper document trail is missing from the previous owner. There was no receipts for clutch disc or throwout bearing in what was provided.

4/31/13 - I lost my storage space for this car so all reasonable offers will be considered. I do have some of the receipts from the original restoration plus all of the receipts for the parts I put on.
