Selling my 1963 Ford F100. Trying to make room for a new project. Just put new front brakes on. Rear end was rebuilt by a buddy of mine who's a Ford mechanic. New pinion seal. one new axle shaft. new axle shaft bearings and cleaned the pumpkin out really well and added brand new diff fluid. I have two replacement axle shafts that come with the truck. The engine runs perfectly. and the transmission shifts smooth. It's a very rare truck. not many style-side. short bed trucks were made. Really fun little truck to cruise around in. it gets tons of attention and compliments. Turn key. daily driver.

Custom "patina" look. The original Rangoon Red factory paint has been wet sanded and clear coated to give it a truly unique look. The body and frame are very clean. the only rust is in the corner of the bed (cancer) and some tiny spots near the cab corners. Could definitely weld in some fresh metal. Couple small chips in the paint here and there. but it's 54 years old after all. Besides that the truck is incredibly clean for a 54 year old unrestored vehicle.
Runs good. stops good. starts right away. drives good. Some slop in the steering. but that's pretty standard for an old non power steering box. It's a short bed. style side. Incredibly rare truck. not many short bed trucks were made back then. especially from 61-63 when Ford introduced the "unibody". Not easy to find another like it.

The previous owner swapped in a 4 speed with and a custom shifter on the floor to replace the three on the tree. It cruises at 60-65 on the highway at about 2200 RPM's. He also did a top end rebuild. Gets better gas mileage than my Jeep Wrangler. I added two lap belts in the truck in case you. or your passenger is a little squeamish about not having seat belts. I typically keep them folded under the seat though. it came from the factory without them so you won't find any trouble with the law man if you decide to keep it that way.

Lowered just a little bit. to give it a nice stance. Original 223 inline 6 engine runs like a top. New exhaust. a straight pipe with a small glasspack that sounds awesome. Awesome little truck. Nothing to hide. what you see is what you get.
This is the decoded warranty plate info: F10 = 2 wheel drive truck. J = 223-1V I-6 engine. D = built at Dallas. TX assembly plant. 430872 = built in July. 1963 as a '63 model truck. 114 = your wheelbase in inches. J = Rangoon Red exterior color. F100 = 5000 pound GVW half ton truck. 81A = Standard Cab. Trans A was a 3 speed manual. light duty. Obviously you don't have that one any more. Axle 11 = 3. 70 gears in a Ford 9 inch non-limited slip differential. 5000 pounds is your Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight rating. 114 is your NET horsepower rating. achieved at 3600 rpms. 62 = Houston. the district sales office from which your truck was ordered. It is not a special order vehicle.

Some other things I just thought to add:
I've only ever run ethanol free fuel in the truck. the gas tank is clean as a whistle. not a speck of rust to be found. the truck has absolutely no leaks. runs nice and cool with the stock 180* thermostat. on the highway or around town here in the Florida summer. I change the oil strictly every three months. whether I drive it 50 miles. or 500. It is always kept inside. and since I've had it its maybe been rained on a few times. Tires are in good shape. Everything in the truck works like it should. i. e. interior light. windshield wipers. cigarette lighter. parking lights. air vents. and the heater works great. The truck was converted over to an alternator by the P. O. so there's no 6v generator system to worry about. All of the parts are there however (minus the generator) if you wanted to convert it back. I love this truck (her name is Gladys). but I just bought a VW Bus project that I'm trying to finish up for the summer. Would also consider a trade for a decent running VW Campmobile

Clean. clear Florida title in my name.

I took a video of the truck running and put it on the Youtube. Here's the link:
