AUSTIN GIPSY 4X4 SWB SOFT TOP 1965

Gipsy has independent suspension all round using Flexitor rubber springs. nbsp;the Gipsy has the ability to travel at high speeds over rough terrain.  

 BMC 2199 cc petrol engine 

I have owned the Austin for 21 months. very little use due to time constraints and other projects.

 I overhauled the water pump . eplaced distributor cap. points. condenser found it great to drive. ood brakes. teering ok. chassis has been repaired in places and liberally undersealed. The previous owner was a fabricator so I would expect the repairs to be carried out to a reasonable standard but please examine the vehicle for yourself.

 MOT has expired . here are some jobs that I know of. horn stopped working possibly contacts in the switch. ipers stopped working and oil leak from engine. hich I believe to be from rocker cover gasket which has been over tightened and the gasket has gone hard.

Bad points that I am aware of hole in nsf wing. rust appearing in both rear wings. uel tank filler neck hose requires attention. ear window of soft top has blown out.

TAX free. nsurance on a limited mileage basis costs me £107.  

Please be aware it is a 48 year old vehicle and does not drive like a modern 4x4. but will keep a reasonable speed.
