Daimler 250 v8 jaguar mk2

This is a 1968 (have full logbook) daimler v8 250 mk2 this is the same shell as the jaguar mk2 but you will already know that or u would not be looking LOL.

This will be an ideal replacement shell for a jag that is rotting away. or just to do up and show off. I was thinking of dropping in a BMW  6 cylinder turbo diesel engine and box into it this. would give it more performance and still give it 45 mpg although it would be a bit sacrilege.

This car is complete apart from the engine there might be a few other things missing but if there is it must be small stuff.

The shell on this car can only be described as good to excellent all the floors are mint no rot at all the chassi is spot on as well. the floor and chassi are in red oxide the bonnet has no rust the boot lid is mint this has green paint on the inside so it has been replaced at some point as has the petrol cap.

The only point of any rust I can find that has not been repaired is in the wheel well around the spare wheel clamp.

I stripped down one door and was surprised to see it had had a repair panel to the bottom of the door and had been very well done including leaded in.

All of the doors seem to be in VERY good condition so if they have had a repair in the past you can't tell as with the door I stripped down.

The two front wings have been replaced in the past. as they can only be described as mint. The back spats are like new. the windows are in good condition and the rubbers that hold them in look like they must have been replaced. as they have no splits or anything.

The chrome is all there but although it is all usable I think a rechrome would be in order if you wanted to win competitions.

The seat frames are all there but some of the leather is missing as it was no good.

The car must of had. and looks like it has had a new roof lining and there is some spare material.

The dash is all there and there are 3 dash tops to choose from 2 wood 1 leather.

There are new rubbers think for the doors and boot

The carpets are there but dont know if they are complete and I don't think they are original.

The lights are in good condition and the chrome looks good on them as are the seat belts.

The wheels look like they had been shot blasted but they have gone rusty over the time it has been standing but the tyres stay up.

The paint on the car is crap and th car should be white not blue but on the plus point the paint has protected the body work very well.

Don't know what the brakes are like but the car does roll ok.
