1959 Triumph TR-3 2-seat British Roadster for sale
Current customer rating: (320 votes ) based onI am offering up for auction my 1959 TR-3 Triumph British Roadster. This was a ground up restoration 20 year ago. At that time. motor and trans completely over hauled to new.
All moving parts. brakes. suspension all was new. This car has been one of my favorites. The original body tub was very rusty. so I bought a body out in Arizona and had it shipped
in. The fenders . hood and deck lid had some problems as well. We did use a lot of ( bondo) to straighten them up. We painted this car 1985 Chevy Camaro Teal Blue color. /p>
with a Tan and Brown interior. I also have some rough side curtains for it. (not pictured). but I never installed them. I have the new Tan top for it. if I get caught in the rain.
I have a owner hand book in glove box. About 7 years ago I found a TR-3 project in town. nbsp; a complete car with great sheet metal. I bought the car took the sheet metal I needed
and sold what I did not need as parts. We took the car down once more. fitted the new fenders hood and deck lid. Gave it a fresh new paint job same Teal Blue. So we're off and
running again. This last winter I finally got sick and tired of SU carbs and purchased new Weber dual carbs system and man are they great. Easy to start. warms up quicker. /p>
much better over all performance. The mechanical parts of this car are still in great condition. Added features I installed electric coolant fan to radiator. nbsp; These British car
weren't made to run cool in the US climate. Also a on frame inline electric fuel pump. nbsp; the gas gauge does not work. I have tried a new sending unit in tank. nbsp; ( fuel tank was new)
also. nbsp; the problem must be in dash unit. All of the gauges are still factory Jaegar. and Lucas. Now I have several photos and tried to show any problems. chips in paint or materials.
This car is a driver not a trailered show car. It is a lot of fun to drive in the country side. winding . hilly. roads.
Good luck bidding. nbsp; If you have any question. e-mail and I will get back to you ASAP.
Buyer pays all transport cost. or Local pick up can be arranged with in 14 days of auction's end. Buyer must pay $500. 00 Deposit VIA Pay Pal. with the bal. to be paid
by Certified bank check. nbsp; Credit card or cash before delivery time. All funds must clear my bank before delivery or transport. I still have that old sheet metal and several parts left over
that can go with this deal. I probably will never build another one. Its getting a little had for me to get in and out of it and shift gears. nbsp; Once again I will really miss this car when she's gone.
I have a clear Indiana title ready to go. Good luck bidding. Thanks a for your interest.
