1996 ROVER MINI EQUINOX GREY - Restored for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 481 votes

For sale is our classic 1. 3 injection Mini Equinox. This is one of 750 of the Equinox models made and one of only 250 charcoal grey ones produced. This car was restored by myself in 2009 (details of work done/parts fitted below). It has had lots of updated parts fitted with a total restore cost of around £6. 00.

Receipts for all parts and also a CD containing extensive photos from the restoration will be supplied. I also have extensive mini tools/spare parts (boxes of nuts/bolts) which can be supplied and others purchased if required. This is an ideal car for someone to take on who wishes to ‘roll up their sleeves' and get into the ongoing process of maintaining and preserving this fine British car!

We part reluctantly due to circumstances – we now need a 5 door car for daily drive as our kids have grown up – this mini has been spoilt by only being used in fair weather and kept in the garage (it's never seen snow and not seen rain for months!). It's been very reliable. with no mechanical issues to date. Starts first time every time.

The car is fully wax oiled underneath and this has been re-applied annually. There is a spare wheel in the boot (steel type). The car jack holes have been welded over to prevent rusting and a small trolley jack will be supplied with the car (much safer anyway as the standard mini jack is terrifying!)

It has been regularly serviced by me. with oil changes etc as required. It regularly passed its MOT without issues – just a few minor advisories last time. The next MOT is due January 2014. Tax next due January 2014 (currently £135 for 12 months). All paperwork supplied inc previous MOT's etc. Mileage is almost 75. 00. Car will come with some items for servicing such as fan belts/spark plugs etc.

Whilst no classic Mini can be said to be truly rust free I can say that I'm not aware of any significant rust problems on the car – I'd invite people to check for themselves or bring along a knowledgeable person to confirm this (all carpets are loose and can be removed).

The rear subframe will need to be replaced in the next few years. It's not mentioned in the MOT as yet but this will be required. Not a hard job!

Any questions please ask – also happy to email extra photos.

Terms: Deposit paid of £100 via paypal within 24 hours of end of auction to hold the car and the balance paid via cash on collection (no cheques) within 5 days. Please view the car before bidding as it is much better in the flesh. I want the buyer to be 100% happy with this purchase as I have been completely honest in this description. Those not familiar with Mini's -  Keep in mind this is a classic Mini from 1996. so it is not a new car and does not drive as a new car would (no power steering!) – It's far more fun!
