This is "Ruby" my sons car and he will be sad to see it go but a change in his work circumstances means that hardly gets to drive it.
He has spent months and many hundreds of pounds putting this car back into service. her previous owner who named her "Ruby" sadly passed away and she was sorn for 4 years by his grieving family who found it hard to part with her as the car was his pride and joy.
Since owning her he has had the wire wheels refurbished fitted 4 new tyres and replaced the brakes including new calipers disks and pads to the front and cylinders. drums and shoes to the rear. At the sharp end he was lucky enough to acquire a set of SU HS6 carburetors and inlet manifold from a 1972 Austin Landcrab 1800S ( possibly the best carburetor upgrade for this car and worth £££'s) these were then refurbished and polished so this beauty go's as good as she looks and stops on a sixpence so it is needless to say she passed her MOT without any advisories
"Ruby" looks as good on the inside as she does outside with red leather seats and luxury matching carpets. and when the sun comes out to play you can open her full length webasto sunroof to let the rays pour in. This car is a first time starter she drives beautifully and is much admired.
"Ruby" is also quite a rare car as she has a "narrow transmission tunnel and a 3 syncro gearbox" together with a fully functioning overdrive. "you wont find one of these on a car built after 1967".
Unfortunately the rev counter is not working this is because at some point she has been converted from positive earth to negative earth. as well as this the headlining could do with a bit of a scrub. and there is a slight tear in the rear seat at the side (which can't be seen with it in place).
Please come and give her a visit if fancy bidding but please remember if you bid you bid to buy her and I would like the winning bidder to contact me within 24 hrs. She is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to to end the auction early. you can contact me on 07766664900.
I am starting the auction with no reserve. so go on grab a bargain. She is a 1967 car. with loads of character. and a couple of things that could be improved. but she is a show ready car. that given the time and not so much money. could be a winner.
Cash on collection no overseas bidders
