After the sale of Aston Martin in January 1972 work started on a comprehensive facelift of the DBS V8. the main visual cue being the adoption of single headlamps and a revised front grille.  
Now known as the AMV8. the car retained the Bosch mechanical fuel injection system used by the DBS V8 until August 1973. when four twin choke Weber carburettors were fitted together with updates to the interior trim. a bigger bonnet bulge to clear the carburettor air box and a re-designed fuel tank to allow more luggage space.

This truly iconic and thoroughly British sports coupe is finished Windsor Red with Magnolia hide upholstery and is currently showing 84. 00 miles.

Described by the current vendor as a loved & cared for example complete with its original engraved & leather bound history file detailing work going back almost 20 years together with its service booklet showing regular services from new by various Aston Martin Specialists to include Marshalls of Cambridge. Hiller Hill and Desmond J Smail.

In the late 1990's Desmond J Smail was commissioned to carry out a full body off. windows out re-spray at which time the sills were done and the chassis wax-oyled.

In 2000 a further £7500 was spent re-freshing the engine and converting it to run on un-leaded fuel.

An extremely handsome vehicle in lovely order which is ready to be enjoyed.
