1973 TRIUMPH STAG WHITE V8 AUTO LAST 2 OWNERS 27years 1st CLASS CONDITION for sale
Hi. For sale is our 1973 Triumph Stag V8 Auto in white with black interior all in first class condition. As most of the Triumph Stag farternity know i restore and recommition app 3 to 6 Stags each year and maintain most of the Stags in the west of Scotland. we bought this Stag from another Stag Club Member who is disabled and sadly is no longer able to use his pride and joy. we have maintained this Stag for the last 8years and the owner before who had the car for 19years and the Stag is a credit to both of them. I have a large history file with all the invoices for all the work that has been done over the years. John the last owner always kept on top of the car anything that was needed was done with no expence spared. I have went through the car like a dose of salts and have done what i thought was needed to bring the Stag to A1 condition. I will try and describe the work that has been done and the condition of this superb Triumph Stag.
ENGINE:- The engine was re-con 12000miles ago but no mention of the head's being overhalled so i have just removed them and converted them to unleaded. i also fitted a new timing chain kit + water pump while i had it down. the car also had a full service at the same time. There has also been a oil pressure guage fitted which show's great oil pressure so the Stag is running A1.
GEARBOX:- Gearbox was fully serviced last year and is in A1 condition.
REAR AXLE+DRIVE TRAIN:- There was a slight whine from the diff at app 50mph so i have fitted a re-con diff all the rest is A1 and as it should be.
BRAKE'S:- The brakes had a full overhall last year new pads. rear cylenders and shoes the rest are all A1 and as they should be.
EXHAUST:- Stainless steel and all A1.
SUSPENTION:- All front is A1. the rear looked tired and i like my Stags to sit high at the rear so its had new rear spring's and shocker's and re bushed this car. so its all in A1 condition.
STEERING:- All in A1 condition new front ball joint's. track rod end's and wheel tracking done last year.
ELECTRIC'S:- New altinator and battery fitted last year. new high torque starter fitted a few years ago also new Lumenition electronic ignition fitted at the same time all the rest is A1 even the clock works.
SOFT TOP/HARDTOP:- Soft top is A1 and work's as it should . he Hardtop is also in excellent condition.
CHROME WORK & BADGES:- If not new all in very good condition.
INTERIOR:- New sun visors i have just put new front seat base covers and put new foam's to the rear front seat's so the interior. arpets. ood. anels with proper rear speaker fittings age related sterio and rear lap seat belt's are all in immaculate condition.
EXTERIOR:- All in A1 condition. loors. hassis. ills. rches. tc are all A1 and as the should be.
WHEELS/TYRES:- On a good set of alloy's and a great set of tyre's.
All in all this is a fantastic Triumph Stag which is in first class condition and a great investment all has been done with a full service its ready to show and enjoy. this car has had fantastic owners who have looked after this Stag with no short cuts . its one of the best Stags i have had for the money i am asking. i would take this car anywhere or distance make no mistake this car is in fantastic condition. Have a good look at the photo's and my feedback and you will not be dissapointed i have sold my Stags all over Europe. As this car was obviously sold ages ago I wondered if you have others? It would need to be up to USA standard because I live in Arizona. I would also need one with AC and auto. I live at 6000 feet. I have owned two Stags during the eighties. Any thoughts?
