Here at MissChiTown. a marketing service that assists car collectors market their collector cars on eBay. we are fortunate to see a multitude of XKE's.   We believe that there are three basic type of XKE's in the market; restored cars. great survivors and cars that need a full restoration.

The car in this ad is the second of the three and is a great survivor.   It is an extremely low mileage car at 39. 00.   The car is completely original with all the original accessories including a radio with short wave (not currently working).   PS. A/C (currently not blowing cold). even the original. rare factory accessory window defogger wires embedded into the glass.   The car is in the original Moss Green and the interior has new Suede Green correct leather interior and factory correct carpeting.

The owner tells us that the original wire wheels look like they are almost brand new without any type of major scuffs or indication that they are not in beautiful condition. To top all this off. the car has a brand new Vredestein Sprint Classics correct tires with under 100 miles on them.   The owner tells us that the car runs out as it should and you can travel anywhere at high speeds or travel through town.   The car does not overheat.

When it comes to the three different body styles in the XKE. the roadster. 2+2 and the coupe. our favorite is the coupe because we feel that the lines of the top add to the total overall ambiance of the lines of the basic lower portions of the XKE.   We do realize that the roadsters from a money point of view will bring more money but that doesn't mean that the coupe isn't a better-looking car.

Now we can all agree that color is a very personal issue.   The Willow Green is one of our favorite colors and is a popular color and we have not found too many coupes in this color.

In reference to the mileage. the private seller tells us that the odometer reads the correct mileage and he knows the ownership of the car all the way back to the ancient history of the car.

In a recent conversation. the owner wanted us to be sure to let interested parties know that the gaps on the car are excellent all around which would indicate that the car has not been abused since day one.

As you can see this car has not been cleaned up or detailed for the sale purposes.   The car is an honest car and is not a car that is being “flipped” by a reseller.   The private party that has this car has owned it for ten years and is aware of the previous owners.

It is hard to find an original XKE survivor that hasn't been abused somewhere along the way.   The 1970 Jaguar XKE coupe here is unmolested and runs and drives great. Many of the unrestored Jaguars look like they have been ridden hard and put away wet.   This car looks like it has been well cared for and kept in beautiful running condition.   It certainly could use a good detailing and possibly some cleaning and buffing in the engine compartment to give it a little sharper look.   The owner purposely hasn't done this because he wants the interested parties to see how the car looks in a very honest way.

THE PRIVATE SELLER HAS PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING IN HIS OWN WORDS:

1970 JAGUAR E-TYPE COUPE. An unmolested example of a numbers matching original car. Runs and drives very well. Only 38k original miles. Rare original Willow Green paint with recently new Suede Green correct leather interior and new factory correct carpeting. 4-speed manual. factory air. and with all factory options. New fitted car cover. New 25-mile Vredestein Sprint Classics on as-new factory chrome wires. Excellently maintained original car. Upgraded cooling system. Tucson. Arizona no-rust car from new. When you look at the pictures of this car. the trunk area. the interior. the dashboard. the wire wheels all look very nice.   Yes. we agree that the new buyer could do some clean up work on the cosmetics in the engine compartment but what a great car.

Did we mention that this car has spent its life in the SW and that could explain why this is such a rust free and clean car.   You can bid to win and be glad that you did.
