This vehicle is being re-auctioned because the winning bidder 'redmini20176' Steve Reng of Dandenong did not bother to even contact us.  He won the vehicle at auction and then did not pay.  So please. please do not bid if you will not pay. Inspection is welcome before the auction ends.
This beautiful old classic Jag is part of motoring history.
The vehicle is a compact version of Jaguars.
Jaguar Mark 2's were first built in 1959 and ran through to 1968.
This particular Mark 2 started life as a factory 3. 4ltr manual overdrive car.
At some stage of it's life it was upgraded to a 3. 8ltr engine and it had the carbis changed from 1. 75 to 2 inch.
The other modification that it had was a screw on oil filter housing attached to it and an upgrade to larger Jaguar rims.
Apart from these minor things it is basically original. we believe even the colour is original.
The 3. 8ltr engine starts and runs exceptionally well.  It does not blow smoke or have any death knocks in it.
The 4 speed gear box is also good.
There are no bad noises in the rear end.
The vehicle has had quite a bit of work done on it in recent times  eg. brand new discs all round. calipers rebuilt. new brake hoses. master cylinder rebuild.
It has also had some suspension work done and appears quite tidy in the suspension.
The down side is it needs minor things done to it to finish it off eg. some of the gauges do not work. heater box needs re-fitting. minor wiring under the bonnet.
Overall this would be an excellent vehicle for the enthusiast to put their own personal finishing touches on this classic Jaguar.

Hi there. I would suggest by the photos of your car, that it may have in fact left the factory as a 2.4, indicated by several features on your car that were only peculiar to 2.4s and not on 3.4 and 3.8. A Chassis No check will confirm! You don't want to miss another sale? All the best. Rob
