I'm the second owner of this car. The original owner bought this car from Port Pirie back in 1978 and had it in Port Broughton until I bought it in 2004
265 engine with reconditioned head to run unleaded and LPG. This was done 20. 00ks ago. Currently running 350 Holley. extractors and 2 ½ inch exhaust.
LPG installed in 2008 so will be due for reinspection mid 2018. From empty. this fits about 60L of LPG that will take you 250 ks around town. I've incorporated the LPG gague into the normal fuel gague to keep the instrument cluster original.
In keeping with the original styling. the AM radio is still in the dash but is disconnected. A CD/MP3 player with remote has been installed in the glove box to keep the dash original. I've replaced the original arial with an electronic one.
The transmission is a BW 40. The original 35 was leaking trans fluid so I had it reconditioned by Cos Auto repairs (Semaphore) in 2008 and put in the internals from a EB Ford into the original BW35 casing.
Rust repairs were completed in 2008 where the inner/outer sill panels and the LHS engine bay that was corroded from a battery spill were replaced. I have photos of the rust repairs to show you so you can see it's been done properly. The car has been resprayed in 2008 by Eagle Paint and Panel at Royal Park. The car. 9 years since the respray is 99% rust free. The vinyl roof was replaced by Aristocrat Motor Trimmers in 2008.
The radiator has been recored and I upgraded it from a 2 to 3-core to keep the engine cool during hot days with the aircon on. I've also put in a reconditioned alternator built to V8 specifications to provide enough electricity for smooth running.
The chassis rail on the drivers-side was replaced along with most of the front end in 2005. This was done by John Englesos at SA Chassis in Brompton.
I've replaced the rotors and brakes all round and also changed the shock absorbers last year. The brake booster and master cylinder were replaced in 2008.
Options on the car are: E33. C16. A17. L73. R55 & H51
The reason I'm selling is because I don't have the space to keep it. This car was not driven from 2010 to 2012. Since then. I've registered it only in the summer and driven sparingly (on average 5 times over the 3-month registration period).
NOTE: The number plates are not included in the purchase.
