Buy this for Dad! 1955 Ford Thunderbird in beautifully restored condition. Timewasters mean this ad is being re-run! The first year of this iconic Ford model. this car originated in CA and 24 years later. was moved to Colorado and went into many years of storage. It was removed from storage and the engine replaced with a NOS crate engine (292 "Y" block V8). There are less than 200 miles on this NEW engine! Always garaged. this rust-free car was then beautifully repainted in the "Thunderbird Blue" factory color. with white removable fiberglass hardtop. A black tonneau cover is included. The body and chassis are solid throughout. Chrome is in excellent condition as seen in the photos. Much recent work has been done including rebuilding the generator. reworked electric seat motors. new brake booster. wheel cylinders and hoses. new tires. new muffler on one side. new gas tank. and several interior trim items. This delightful car has been finished to a very high standard. and would make an ideal Sunday driver. local show car. or cruise-in ride! Only a couple of minor flaws detract from an otherwise outstanding car: The tachometer is not connected. so not working -- when the engine was replaced. the original tach-drive distributor was replaced with a later type; there are small tears on each side of the headliner inside from when it was removed and stored. Car does not have power steering or a spare tire. This beautiful car starts quickly. runs smoothly. and drives and rides great. On the 1-6 scale of classic car condition. this is a solid 3 with many areas comfortably a 2! A perfect Father's Day gift!
