This is one of the earliest 1962 deluxe buses to be delivered to the states. Production date was at the very end of 1961 production according to the Birth Certificate and the way the cars were brought into the states from Germany.

 

As it came from the factory! This bus comes with the birth Certificate from Volkswagen!

Walkthrough is the chosen bus.  

The bus was done with nice straight panels. early pop out vents. flat wheel wells and thick lip doglegs.

The Chrome hubcaps are now painted with the  VW pronounced.
