No reserve.
For sale or swap is my 1971 VH Valiant Charger XL. I have only owned it for about 12 months. I was looking for a street legal Charger or Pacer for my wife. Instead I ended up with this beast! I found it as an unfinished race project and basically brought it because the body was the best Charger body I had seen for the coin I had to spend. I first thought I would put this back to a fairly standard Charger and give it to my wife but after getting it home and looking at it for several days I realized the better option was to finish it as the previous owner had intended then offer it up for sale or swap. So here it is;   (also check out the youtube link at the bottom of the page)

One 1971 modified VH XL Charger. It has a stroked 400ci big block which takes it out to about 451ci. Steel crank from a 440. Crow cam and Ross pistons. Six pack (full mechanical) consisting of 3x 500cfm Holleys. Massive radiator and twin thermo's to keep her cool. 40lt fuel cell in the boot with a Holley blue electric fuel pump. Massive tuned length headers running into 100mm straight out pipes (read loud!). Optical distributor with 2 stage rev limiting control unit (control unit not fitted but supplied). Note that I have not had the engine apart. the engine info was given to me from the previous owner and I have no reason to doubt it is all correct.
727 auto is running a stage 3 manual shift kit and a B&M shifter.
8 3/4 SureGrip (LSD) rear axle. Rear is tubbed and the springs have been moved in to accommodate the massive rear tires.
Rack and pinion steering.
Roll cage.
Full length chassis rail connectors.
RT dash and steering wheel.
Master cylinder moved to under dash to clear the headers.
Seats and hood liner in very good condition.
Rear seat. rear trim and door cards missing (see photos).
Most of the original wiring etc is still in place. Some lights and most gauges are working.
Paint is by no means show quality but it is still fairly good. Plenty good enough for a driver or race car.
Fiberglass bumpers.
I do not have engineering cert for the engine swap. Clearly not an issue if you want to race this.
However for those that are thinking about putting it on the road. the previous owner did have it registered in Vic with this engine (before he rebuilt it to race). I do have an old rego label that he gave me. I need to check and confirm but he told me it is has the big block engine number on it. Take that for what it is and know that it is currently way to modified to be roadworthy!

If you are serious about purchasing please ask questions. request extra pictures and arrange an inspection.
Cash on pick up unless previously discussed.
I would also consider swapping for any 60's or 70's Mopar (USA or Aussie). cash adjustment either way. Particularly interested in a road registered Charger or Pacer (any model) for my wife.
Located in Bairnsdale Victoria.

Obversely there is no warranty. I also reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
