1949 Ford Other Pickups

1949 Ford F1 pickup - unbelievable original condition.  This truck is NOT restored. but preserved and maintained.  I bought the truck several years ago because of the great condition that it was in and the fact that it had NOT been restored.  This thing is as close to an original condition 1949 F1 that you are going to find.
This truck even has the original sheet metal bed floor covering OVER the wood.  These trucks new did NOT have exposed wood bed floors (and certainly not stained and varnished) but they had a piece of sheet metal laid over the wood boards in the bed.  This bed shows very little use - look closely at the pictures - this truck was bought and hardly used!
The engine is the original 239 cu in V8 Flathead.  It runs GREAT!  No issues.  I did put a new carburetor on it and plugs.  
Interior:  seats have been recovered at some point in black vinyl in the original style.  The particle board roof headliner is original. The instruments ALL work and have not been touched.  I did add turn signals and seat belts.
Exterior: A repaint was done many years ago.  Definitely far from perfect. but very serviceable and the truck shows well.  I added the stainless steel bumpers front and rear.  I also found an original spare tire mount and installed it.
Chassis:  Here is the good part:
NEW: brakes. brake lines. king pins. and complete front axle (brand new).  Rear end:  I installed new 3. 55 ring gear and pinion - this truck cruised down the interstate now - you can use it as a daily driver. 70 mph is no problem. Steering box - rebuilt - it drives like new.
My intent was to make this a safe and drive-able classic 1949 F1 pickup and I think I was successful.  It is nice enough to be proud of. but not so perfect that you cannot throw some stuff in the back and actually use it as a pickup.
The main thing is that it is safe and reliable.
The issues:  there was some floor board rust that was repaired by someone else years ago. They welded some patch panels in and in reality did a good job.  There is no reason to re-do them.  Other than that. there is little or no rust anywhere on this truck.
I have over $30K invested in this truck since I bought it back in 2014.  I know I am not going to get that for it. but you can get this truck and literally not have to spend anything more than what you pay for it - just drive and enjoy.
