This is an as found 1942 Ford GPW. It is S/N 88898 and the DOD is DEC 15. 1942. The motor is much later. This was just pulled out of a pole shed behind a barn. The old fellow had driven it up until the motor died about five or six years ago. He parked it and walked away. This has been sitting since. There is no telling what happened to the original motor but there was a core that was included when I purchased the jeep. It is all GPW both block and head. There looks to be a crack under the distributor but those are easy to fix and common as well.     This has quite a bit of good "F" script stuff on it. including the pintle hitch. body handles. radiator. front seats. and smaller items. This has a full set of data plates with the 88898 stamped on them and a Tennessee title. The body is about a 5 out of 10. The rear panel has been home made and there are patches to the floor pan. no bottoms to the tool boxes and the sides of the rear fender wells have been skinned. It has four 16" rims and one junky combat as a spare. This would make a great project to restore. Plus not having to mess with getting a title kinda sweetens the deal.
