Sorry to cancel the original listing but once someone placed a bid I was unable to add all of the photos and info on the car. He was interested in seeing the photos and was happy to start over.

Here we go. no reserve. bid to own

Car was originally sold at Freeman Motors in Adelaide. SA on March 15th 1972. its had one owner since. Original paperwork includes owners manual and original "Owners Guide". There is also a handwritten logbook. a couple of old workshop manuals and a Holden LJ parts catalogue that the owner had collected over the years. All of the original paperwork is in very good legible condition.

Body wise the car is good and solid. paint is original and has a touch up here and there but mostly original paint to the car. You need to have a close look at the 80 photos below to get the best description of the paint. Body has minimal rust. there is a spot at the bottom of the "A" pillar that has a rust hole. there is a closeup photo of this. These is a typical spot for these cars and it appears to have been there for a while. The car has had a minor bump in the front left that you can see and a bump in the right rear both of these has left the bumper touching the body of the car. There is a dent in the rear quarter just in front of the bumper. There are several dents and dings around the car but no major accident damage. The car is the perfect restorer. what you see is what you get. nothing hiding under new paint.

Interior is original as you can see in the photos and in need of restoration. Dash. steering wheel and gauges are all good but the front and rear seats will need new foam and seatcovers. Door trims show wear and tear that you would expect from a vehicle this age. I would say they could be brought back to life with some cleaning and maybe a stitch here and there. Carpet is original. I would replace it. headliner is good but has a three corner tear above the passengers head but very nice otherwise. Glass is good. windows wind up and down and seal nicely. Everything seems to work. with a bit of TLC and a few bucks the interior would come up nicely.

Engine is orignal all matching numbers and runs well. Good thing is this car has been on the road all of its life. always kept in a roadworthy condition. never parked up for long periods and always loved by its owner. This is something that you notice straight away when you drive it. I drove the car today and was very impressed with how it went. Starts up easily. shifts smoothly through the gears and has quite a bit of grunt. I found it very nice to drive. Mechanically it all seems good.

Overall a very nice original car with minamal rust. a few dents and dings and defineitely needs some attention interior wise. The options are there. spend a bit and bring it up to a daily driver. maybe paint the car and do the interior or dive into a full blown restoration. Either way you've started with a one owner GTR thats been loved all of its life. has origanal paperwork and a story to tell. Thats money in the bank!!!!
