Up for auction is a 1959 Jaguar XK150FHC.   This estate purchased car is an older restoration that might have been done about 15 years ago.   It has been garage stored.

You can tell by all the welting between the body parts that the car was professionally restored.

The paint color is an outstanding burgundy metallic with a few flaws in the paint such as a few minor chips and one crack approx 3" long that we can find in the paint.

All the chrome and stainless is in excellent condition.   The two bumper "guards" look like there is some pitting. maybe from an inexpensive chrome job done on the bumper guards.   The plastic emblems on the hood and trunk lid are in excellent condition along with the chrome metal mounting plates.   No pits in those.

The electrical system as far as all of the lights and charging system seem to all be in good working order.   You can tell by the pictures the seats are in excellent condition along with the carpets and headliner.

All the glass seems to be in very good condition and the rubber around the glass has some cracking in areas but is in decent condition.

Both doors open and close easily and the body lines are excellent.

The car has all five chrome wheels that are in perfect condition.    The engine on the car runs absolutely beautiful.   It was obvious to us this is where they put a lot of time and effort in.   It was a little hard to start because the choke assembly should be readjusted and rebuilt by a Jaguar mechanic.

This car has been stored for quite a few years and a few things will need to be attended to.   The brake caliper seals are starting to leak and should be rebuilt.   The transmission first gear has a high whine but second. third. and forth are excellent.   We drove the car in 2012 to the Monterey Historics (about 50 miles away) and it drove well but the brake pedal was spongy.   The best thing for this car is a great home and a great detailing.     This car would do good at any show.

We have tried our best to describe this car for you so that you can determine if this car will work for you.   This car is being sold as is where is.   If you have any questions at all that Mike can answer for you please do not hesitate to call Mike at 408-768-7647.   He'll be able to go into much better detail over the phone than by email.   Also if you would like some more pictures please be sure to send your email address so that you can get them as soon as possible and tell us specifically which areas of the car that you would like to see and we can try our best to get them for you.

We believe we have set a reasonable reserve on this car.   If you would like to come and see the car please call us to make an appointment.   We encourage anyone who plans to bid on any car to come and see it first to feel and touch it.   We are just minutes away from the San Jose airport and just a quick walk down the street from the Caltrans Train Depot.   If you come to see the car or if you win the car we would be happy to pick you up from either location.   We expect that if you are bidding on the car that you are well aware that you are entering into a contract for purchase.   Serious bidders only please!

We do not do any financing and will expect you to have your funds available upon winning this auction. If you feel that you may have any extenuating circumstances. such as the prospect of being out of town when the auction ends. please do give us the courtesy by calling Mike to discuss the possibility before bidding and/or winning the auction. he is reasonable.   We feel better talking about it ahead of time rather than you wanting to change the terms of the auction after the fact.

We will be expecting a $500 deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction.   We accept Paypal. Mastercard or Visa ONLY for the $500. 00 deposit.   Certified funds or cash in person is okay. too.   The remainder of the payment can be made ONLY with certified funds or cash in person within 72 hours of winning the auction.   WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL. VISA. OR MASTERCARD FOR THE REMAINING PAY OFF.   All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay and their accounts could be suspended.   If you are not sure about anything. please either call or email us before you bid so that you may clarify any doubts that you may have first.

Shipping this car will be at the full expense of the buyer should they choose to do so.   Our preferred shipper is Jim McElley at McElley's Hi-Line Auto Transport at 831-840-3630.  If you will call Jim or email him at  Jim@McElleyAuto. com   he would be more than happy to give you a quote.   We do not contact or arrange transport with the shipper but we will certainly accommodate the shipper with any help needed when he comes to pick up the car.    We are "shipper friendly"  and  understand that out of state buyers and international buyers may need extra time for shipping arrangements.   We have ample. safe storage and will be happy to keep the car safe until shipping is arranged.   Payment must be received as outlined above.

If you are an international buyer. we would be happy to give you the contact information of two different exporters for you to contact.

In the event that this car does not sell. we would like you. the bidder to be aware of a few things.   Mike is always the only phone contact person and always has the same phone number.   Either Mike or Susan may email answers to your questions.   If we were to give a SECOND CHANCE OFFER. it would be only to the top one or two bidders and all of our contact info would be the same.

eBay also blocks the seller from contacting anyone who is not the buyer after the auction closes even if you are able to send a message to us through eBay. except for the SECOND CHANCE OFFER form.   If you want to follow up on the sale/no sale of the car. the only way you can get a response from us is if you call us.

We do get our share of deadbeats and goofballs. so occasionally you could see a car listed as "sold" and then see a valid SECOND CHANCE OFFER. It pays to be careful. so just call Mike at the above number if you are contacted for a SECOND CHANCE OFFER. It pays to be safe.

And finally everyone appreciates positive feedback!  We don't play games and will always leave you positive feedback when you follow our simple rules.   We like satisfied buyers! And we always appreciate the positive feedback from satisfied buyers. too!  Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
