292 cubic inch V-8 Engine 2 Speed Mile-O-Matic Automatic Transmission Power Steering and Brakes Fairly rare Platinum Gray Metallic single color

This Edsel has been well kept and regularly maintained. however the engine head gaskets now need replacement.

Recent Maintenance/Updates include Brakes. Electronic Ignition. Newer Tires and Aluminized Exhaust

"[does] it run or not" - Yes. it does run. but should be only used for short trips until the head gaskets are replaced. "Hi. can you give me the data plate info off drivers door pillar please. Thanks" (see photo) The car matches the data plate info. however it was repainted to the same color by a previous owner. C = 292 CI V8 9 = 1959 model year U = built in Louisville. Kentucky F = Ranger 4-door sedan 7 = Edsel division. 29537 = 29. 37th Edsel bult for that model year 58D = Ranger 4-door sedan (12. 14 total production of that model for that model year KK = Platinum Grey Metallic single color (fairly rare color. only about 10 known of for this model) 50 = Silver vinyl and black cloth interior 16C = car was scheduled to be built on March 16. 1959 3 = 2 speed mile-o-matic automatic transmission 1 = 3. 10-1 rear axle ratio "Any rust issues at body panels. rockers. frame etc. . (rust through. patches. welding repairs. bondo)? How is the condition of the floor panels under the carpet and under the blanket in trunk? Everything working at the car? Thanks" - There were a few rust-through spots. about 3 inches in diameter (just behind the front wheels. just ahead of the rear wheels) that were repaired with body putty when the car was repainted by a previous owner. There are some very small. barely noticeable cracks around the repairs now. No known frame repairs or welding. All floor panels and trunk panels are in great shape. Everything works in the car. including the original AM radio. The newer AM/FM radio was added for current owner's enjoyment.
