I bought the vehicle in 2008. the year this new 8th generation design was released. from a certified Honda dealer in San Francisco. There were only 1. 00-2. 00 miles on it at the time. The first owner drove it off the lot and shortly after had to trade it in for a minivan due to his wife having their 4th child. Over the last 8 years. I have treated the vehicle as if it were a collector's car (i. e. using an outdoor car cover overnight. regular hand waxing instead of machine wax to avoid swirl marks in the paint. and not going on any road trips except for two small ones from Los Angeles to San Francisco). I'm now in the market to sell the car because it's cheaper for me to Uber everywhere than to own a vehicle.

Most importantly. I have done all the scheduled maintenance at my local Honda dealer. While it could have been 40% cheaper to do all the regular maintenance at Jiffy Lube. it was important to me to have only Honda mechanics touching my car even though there haven't been any significant problems so far. This is most likely due to the fact that my job is exactly 2. 0 miles by residential roads from my house leading to only 50. 00 miles over the last 8 years of ownership with light weekend driving. To maintain the health of the engine. I would periodically take the car on the freeway to run through all the gears.

This 2008 model year (8th Generation) marked the first major design change from previous models. Historically speaking. the first years of new generations are usually the best looking. This has held true for Honda with the 2008's looking significantly better than the recent design face lifts through the current 2015-2017 model year. With the 2008. you don't just get the reliability of a Honda. but the aesthetics and exterior design of a higher end luxury car. especially with the black on black color combination.

To add a little more luxury. sportiness. safety. and privacy. I have added several modifications that markets at $1500 as follows (not added to the asking price - come for free):

- Exhaust: Custom muffler designed & installed by 3C performance Exhaust shop with Porsche 996 Turbo quad exhaust tips. The exhaust really brings this car to life with a tasteful sporty note. It is nowhere near the annoying "rice rocket" exhaust cans found on 1990's 4 cylinder civics. This muffler shop has 5 stars on yelp still and are known for doing exhaust work/installations for cars ranging from Hondas to exotic supercars.

- HID Headlights: 55 watt 8000k aftermarket headlights were installed for more road visibility for safety since the stock headlights have low visibility. These new ones have a very tasteful arctic white color with a slight blue hue. Since this Honda has projector headlamps. it leads to a very sharp and targeting light projection when paired with these HID headlight installation from Retro Solutions (see nighttime driveway picture for the sharp light cutoff). This leads to oncoming traffic not being blinded since the projectors are aimed to hit below side mirrors of oncoming cars. Retro Solutions has a lifetime warranty in case anything were to arise and any local mechanic shop should be well equipped and experienced to handle new installations if need be.

- Short Ram Intake: I had a Takeda SRI installed to replace the stock intake. The stock one greatly restricts airflow to the engine. so I went with this trusted brand for in order to improve airflow and also give the front engine a throaty note during startup and acceleration.

- Window Tints: 15% on the sides. and 5% in the rear. This was one of my favorite modifications so far with the car due to the privacy it provides at all times of the day. For me it has been a great theft preventative and have never had the car being broken into despite leaving valuables in the cabin during the day and at night. While visibility is reduced while viewing inwards. you still have a great amount of visibility while viewing outwards.

The interior is immaculate. If you would like pictures. please let me know if I haven't already uploaded the interior shots by the time you view this listing.

For whatever reason you want to change the exhaust back to stock later down the line. I have kept the stock exhaust parts and will include it with the vehicle purchase for free.

The Honda dealership offered me $9. 00 for the car. This is their wholesale price and will mark it up 25% to flip it at one of their dealerships after purchasing it. In addition. the average price on Autotrader for my specific model is $12. 00 - $13. 00. Those Hondas have 100. 00 - 150. 00 miles +. Mine being nearly 2x - 3x less mileage means that it's already priced to sell.

A brand new set of tires were recently put on that should last another 5-8 years under normal usage.

I will throw in a free exterior clay bar wax job (by hand) and interior detailing upon receiving a serious offer.

Clean Carfax. no accidents. no frame damage. original paint.

I am looking to sell the car around the last week of April and the first week of May.
