SELLER REMARKS

If you're looking for the ultimate chrome-bumper MGB. you've just found it. With an immaculate frame-off restoration in spectacular colors. it's drop-dead gorgeous. But wait. it's also an impressive runner with a long list of smart upgrades to make more than just another 4-pot British roadster. It used to be you had to go Italian to get a 2-seater that would run like this.

It takes a brave man to paint an MGB black. or at least one confident in his bodywork. and it shows here. There's not a ripple or a wave anywhere and given the cost of the restoration. it shouldn't be a surprise that this car has already collected a big pile of trophies. Doors fit well. the hood is flush. and the decklid sits right. framed by a pair of gorgeous MGB taillights. The chrome bumper cars are popular with MG enthusiasts due to their classic roadster looks. and against the black paint. the chrome sparkles and glitters like something very. very expensive. All the details are there. from the MG badges on the nose and tail to the chrome sport mirrors and polished gas cap. adding a lot of old world charm to a car that suddenly looks far more expensive than it is.

The red leather interior may very well be original to the car. and with that in mind it's simply spectacular. Only British leather gets that comfortable. lived-in look that seems to get better with age. and in a black car. nothing looks better than red. There's a brand new Tourist Trophy steering wheel and walnut crested shifter knob. along with fresh carpets and sun visors to keep everything looking fresh. Smiths gauges are a British motor industry tradition. and even in 1971. they had a classic look that was one part simplicity and one part elegance. The original radio is gone. replaced by an AM/FM/cassette head unit that sounds a lot better and actually looks quite good settled in there ahead of the bright red leather shifter boot. A roll bar behind the seats is a good way to make your 'B look racy. and it fits neatly under the new black Stayfast canvas top with matching red boot. There's even a decent amount of trunk capacity. despite a full-sized spare living under that MG tire cover.

Rebuilt just over 1300 miles ago. the diminutive 1800cc inline four performs heroically thanks to a bunch of smart upgrades. Built by the experts at Automotive Specialties. the block is topped by an aluminum cross-flow cylinder head. rebuilt side-draft carburetors. and a flashy aluminum valve cover up top. That's correct MG Maroon on the block itself. and it shows off quite well in the highly detailed engine bay. For reliability. there's a Pertronix ignition system. an oil cooler with braided stainless lines. front disc brakes. and a stainless steel sport exhaust system that sounds awesome. Tube shocks. upgrades springs. and polyurethane bushings make sure it handles the way you'd hope. and it rides on a set of gorgeous (and expensive!) chrome 72-wire wheels and 185/70/14 blackwalls.

We can't possibly cover all the work that's been done to this beautiful MGB. but see this car in person and you will fully understand. Call today!
