For sale is my 997 C4 sport chrono 6mt. This has been such an amazing car. Unfortunately. my wife and I are planning a family and we needed to move on to 4 doors. so the 911 lost out to a 550i - sport 6mt.
The spec on the car is red/tan sport chrono with a manual transmission. which is the classic porsche look with the stick shift and chrono packages that any enthusiast would want. It just doesn't get much better than that. The only aftermarket modifications are the PCM (center stack) was swapped to a unit that runs apple car play. and the wheels are a winter set that I bought since summer tires wont heat cycle properly when its cold out. As the pics show. I have the factory wheel set in my storage locker. The buyer can select either wheels set or purchase the extra set separately. As for the PCM. Porsche owners all know the factory unit is completely useless. so as un-Porsche as this may seem. I wanted the car phone. navigation. and ipod interconnections to work. I also believe I still have the stock PCM but I'd highly recommend never using it again.
This has been a Miami car its whole life until I moved to Chicago a few months ago. Since then. I have continued to daily drive the car unless it was salty/snowey in which case I put it into the storage unit (where it is pictured above). Aside from oil changes. the only major service work it has needed was a water pump at around 55k miles and a new clutch in November of 2016. This is my 2nd Porsche and they have always proven to be very reliable.
Since I needed to move the plates to my new car. I went ahead and had a PPI done. The shop's info is right on the header. so feel free to call them and discuss the car. The only real issue they noted was the left front TPMS sensor is dead. so I bought a new set of 4 which will come with the sale. I will also note that at the last service they replaced the pads and they surfaced the rotors. I was told they were still well within spec. but would need to be replaced at the next brake service so I wanted to pass that info on to the next owner.
Standard terms here: sale is as-is where-is. buyer books and pays shipping. If you have any questions please ask -- I am happy to answer. The car is also going to be listed locally. so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
Thanks for looking!
