After the success of the Cloud and S series saloons. Rolls Royce wanted to introduce a new more modern up to date luxury saloon. Introduced on October 5. 1965. the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series were unveiled at the Paris Salon Motor Show with rave reviews. The T-Series was a very rare and limited production Saloon that used the same engine and chassis as the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Saloon but featured a few sporty styling touches to differentiate the two apart. The T-Series was redesigned for model year 1977 and ran until 1980 with just 558 examples made worldwide. The T-Series is an extremely rare saloon that stands apart from a Silver Shadow with beautiful and understated elegance. Many automobile journalists have said over the years that the Silver Shadow and T Series Saloons are amongst the best handling and most loveliest of the older generations of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars.    

 

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this rare and exquisite two owner 1978 Bentley T2 Saloon. This T2 Saloon is finished in exceptional Masons Black on Tan Connolly Hides. The car is completely original in every way. and has only traveled 44. 00 miles from brand new. The car was bought new at Roy Carver Rolls Royce Bentley in New Port Beach California by Chick Iverson of Chick Iverson Porsche Audi. the oldest Porsche dealership in the West. He kept the car at his home in New Port Beach where he then sold the car to his close friend in the early 1980’s. The car continued to live in New Port Beach until European Motor Studio acquired the car from its second owner and brought the car to Arizona. This Bentley is fully documented with every record from new. always taken to a Bentley dealership or Bentley RR specialist. The car comes with its original books. factory warranty books. warranty cards. mileage sheet. build sheet. customer reference book. radio books. service books and leather book case. Also comes with its original spare tire. complete factory tool kit. jack. mouton rugs. and sheep skin seat covers. The car has its original 8-track player still in the dash along with its original tape player all of course still in working order. Everything on the car is completely functioning and working properly. all of the interior and exterior lights are working as designed to. The power arial is working.  and all of the electrical equipment function as designed. The AC is ice cold and works on all the different fan speeds. the heater works as it should and all of the windows and locks work properly. The power seats on the car work. sometimes a little slow but still in working order.   The car starts and runs beautifully. shifts through all of the gears with ease and still has plenty of power. The Masons Black paint looks stunning; it is completely original and still has a gorgeous shine. The original Tan Connolly hides has excellent patina and shows absolutely no damage or heavy cracking. Very light wear on the front and rear seats. free from any stains or tears. The black carpet is excellent. not one single stain or tear. the tan outlining looks beautiful without any wear. The interior wood trim looks gorgeous. there are a couple small hairline cracks around a couple of the gauges on the front facia. but the rest of the wood finish is near perfect. All of the trim. the chrome and plastic components look beautiful and show almost no wear or any damage. The headliner is original and looks perfect. free from any stains or sagging.   The tires have excellent tread left. the chrome wheels look stunning with a beautiful shine and no wear marks or curb rash. All of the interior and exterior chrome look stunning with absolutely no pitting or hazing of any kind. The glass it all original and looks beautiful. there is no pitting or chips inside the glass at all. This Bentley T2 Saloon has been exceptionally well cared with and completely documented from brand new. The car runs and drives beautifully without any issues. Never been involved in an accident. absolutely no signs of any damage. completely original and with 44. 80 original documented miles. The car has a clean and clear title with Box A actual miles. If you are looking for a well cared for. two owner documented and very rare T2 Saloon this is the car. With only 558 examples made from 1977 to 1980 this is an incredibly rare car.
