Advertised for sale is my 1981 MG B 'LE' Roadster.
The last 1000 MGB's ever to be made were these Limited Edition cars. HFR 893W is Number 283 of only 420 LE Roadster's ever made and roughly only half of these had the LE only alloy wheels (212). The other 580 cars were Silver (Pewter) GT's.
This particular car is registered with the 'Jubilee and LE Owners Club'. with a certificate of authenticity confirming it as a genuine LE car still with its original matching engine & chassis numbers.
It has recently been restored including a bare metal respray last year and new stripes fitted.
Some of the major work done and parts fitted also include the following:New Hood - O/E quality with zip rear windowNew windscreen & frame sealNew carpet - interior and bootNew interior/door panelsNew seat foams. webbing. boards and correct seat coversEngine repaintedWheels refurbished Unleaded head fittedNew radiatorThe list goes on. as they always do. with many new parts fitted during the restoration.
It has also in the past benefited from a stainless steel exhaust. The underside has had a coat of Waxoyl to protect it and these late car's were also treated with Ziebart from new. much of which is still present and has protected the car well over the years with the body being in very good condition.
The interior is like new and is original with the correct orange 'deckchair' style seats. recovered with new covers. very hard to find in this condition. The car drives really well. it is nice and smooth and draws a lot of attention. The engine pulls well and the gears are nice and tight. Overdrive works well. It's a pleasure to drive. Engine bay has been repainted as well and it has K&N filters under the original covers.
The mileage is just under 52. 00 which is subject to change with use - if it stops raining. I also have no reason to doubt this being genuine given the cars condition.
MOT to May '14. Tax to end Oct '13. These can be re-done for it's new owner. this can be negotiated.
Recently featured in Classic Car Buyer issue 192 (28/8/13) in a road test against a TR7. A copy of which is included with the car.
Please feel free to contact me for more information. more pictures or to view.  A really good fun. usable MG. Not a concourse trailer queen and has suffered a couple of marks since being sprayed too. nbsp;inevitable really (have been touched up) but it could be show'n or just used.  Not just any 'rubber bumper' MG B either. they won't make any more of these. going to go up in value. Genuine reasons for sale. Other projects needing attention and an imminent wedding to pay for!
Delivery can be arranged. Viewings welcome any time.
Usual eBay rules apply. please only make offers if you are serious about buying.  Deposit required from buyer once sale agreed and collection/balance within 7 days. However please contact me to negotiate these terms.
