SELLER REMARKS

If you think you've seen it all in the world of Model A Fords. guess again. This unique 1929 Model A Boattail speedster is unlike anything you've ever seen. Still instantly identifiable as a Model A. the flashy shape and cut-down profile gives it a sporting look right out of the Roaring 20s!

There have been boat-tailed speedsters around since almost the beginning of time. The Auburns are perhaps the most famous. along with perhaps the Bugatti Type 35. but one thing's for sure. it has always represented performance and style of the highest order. The finish is first rate throughout. with exceptional symmetry to the design and a balance that suggests an expert was behind the design. Even more incredibly. it's rendered in 18-gauge steel. and the cut-down "doors. the way the Ford cowl curves into the custom bodywork. and the way it ties off in that pointed tail all give it an extremely professional look. The front fenders are 1929 Model A. but everything aft of the cowl was custom-made and beautifully finished to a very high standard. It's not subtle. particularly in bright Torch Red paint accentuated with hand-painted pinstripes. and that's entirely the point. You will spend a lot of time admiring the details and come away impressed every time.

As a speedster. it's intended to be minimalist inside. but that doesn't mean what's there can't be luxuriously appointed and beautifully crafted. The tan leather bench seat has vertical pleats so it looks suitable for the period. and there are matching tan carpets on the floor. The dash is beautifully finished natural wood. not a veneer. with a full array of Dakota Digital gauges in a billet panel. and you'll note that even the gauges glow yellow to match the interior. A Grant GT steering wheel matches the dash almost exactly. and it's mounted to a color-matched tilt column. An AM/FM/cassette head unit is neatly mounted under the dash and sounds great even in the open-air cruiser. perhaps thanks to the remarkably effective windshield that's your only protection from the elements. just as it was in the old days.

When you mount your engine out in the open like that. you need it to look good. and the balanced and blueprinted 355-inch Chevy V8 sparkles with chrome and billet dress-up. It also runs quite well. thanks to an extremely thorough rebuild to 1970 LT1 specs. so it cackles with horsepower (as if this lightweight needed more). A custom radiator with electric fans keeps things nice and cool. and there's a chrome alternator to keep it all spinning. Ceramic-coated headers feed a completely fabricated dual exhaust system which flanks the driveline consisting of a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit and an 8-inch Ford rear end with 3. 08s inside. The suspension is traditional Model A hot rod. with a Super Glide leaf spring and dropped I-beam up front and ladder bars with TCI coil-overs out back. Power front disc brakes deliver awesome stopping power thanks to the car's light weight. and the fat Weld Pro-Stars wear staggered 195/70/14 front and 295/50/15 rear radials for an awesome rake.

No. it's not for everyone. but this cool 2-seater will run rings around the garden-variety hi-boy roadsters. both on the street and at shows. Call today!
