SELLER REMARKS

Well-built hot rods at this price don't last long here at Streetside Classics. This 1939 Ford has all the right ingredients wrapped in a Henry steel package that delivers a modern driving experience inside a vintage shape.

The fastback shape of the tudor sedan is almost the ideal cruiser. with a spacious back seat and able to accommodate all the creature comforts you'd need for a cross country trip. It's also incredibly handsome. with great proportions and that iconic 1938 Ford nose (remember that the Standard models used the previous year's Deluxe sheetmetal and trim) that endures decade after decade. Although Henry Ford was not a fan of red paint. mostly because it was expensive. this car sizzles in bright red urethane. With professionally finished bodywork that offers good gaps and a great fitting hood. this is a beauty that's ready to enjoy. despite being finished in the early 2000s. All the original details remain. from the cool teardrop-shaped headlights with integrated turn signals. to the iconic original taillights that you can find on just about every rod that ISN'T a 1939 Ford. and it even carries a few goodies like chrome bumpers. King-Bee peep mirrors. and restored running boards. No chopped top. no flames. no shaved emblems. just a handsome original design complimented by quality workmanship.

The interior almost looks OEM. thanks to things like the original bucket seats. the subtle striped pattern in the upholstery itself. and a beautifully finished dashboard with well-integrated controls. White-faced VDO gauges offer pointers and fonts that are strikingly similar to those Ford was using at the time. and the polished aluminum gauge panel fits perfectly. The original dash was woodgrained as original. and a complete A/C system was very cleverly integrated for a very clean look. All the seats are finished in tan cloth. with matching door panels and carpets. as well as a nicely fitted headliner overhead. An AM/FM/CD stereo and a tilt column round out the list of creature comforts that make this car a pleasure to drive. This rod is finished better than a lot of production cars. and that kind of work doesn't come cheap.

The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor driving a TH350 3-speed automatic and a Ford 9-inch rear. There's a lot of billet and chrome in the engine bay. matching the quality and details found throughout the car. The front end still uses the original I-beam suspension. but upgraded with disc brakes and power steering. so it tracks down the road like a cruise missile. The custom-fabricated dual exhaust system is brand new and the frame itself has been reinforced to cope with the added horsepower. It rides on a set of upgraded shocks and leaf springs in back. plus staggered Torque Thrust wheels wearing 185/70/14 front and 235/70/15 rear Michelin radials.

You know this gorgeous Ford is ready to enjoy. and it looks fantastic. The paint is quite nice. the interior retains a lot of original flavor. and the mechanicals sound great and deliver impressive performance. This is an extremely nice rod that's very aggressively priced. If you love fat fender Fords. you can scarcely do better than this. Call today!
