We just purchased this car from a collector from Oregon and as you can clearly see in the pictures it was recently restored and this was his pride and joy but he needed the money more at this time than the car. LUCKY YOU !! The color combination on this car is STUNNING to say the least and it still retains its correctly mounted Factory Original Ford cowl mounted data plate shown in a picture below. This is a tight and solid 1955 "BABY BIRD" which NEVER fails to turn heads. This car shows and runs EXTREMELY WELL !! It still retains its VERY STRONG - ORIGINAL – 198 HP - 292 CID V8 motor in it that runs out GREAT ! Sounds good too with the dual exhaust system that correctly exits out the rear chrome bumper mounted exhaust ports. The engine is backed by a smooth - Ford O Matic - automatic transmission which is also functions well. This car runs and drives Excellent!! It cruises along on the highway at 70 mph effortlessly. The BEAUTIFUL - Code "D" - Two Tone Black and Yellow interior is in NICE shape with a Nice Black and Yellow vinyl seat. nbsp;Nice Black carpeting. nbsp;Nice Black headliner inside the removable hardtop. nbsp;Nice ORIGINAL dash with correct stainless steel panels. nbsp;Nice ORIGINAL Black dash pad with NO CRACKS. nbsp;Nice ORIGINAL gauge clusters including factory tachometer and factory 150 mph speedometer. nbsp;Nice ORIGINAL steering wheel. nbsp;Nice ORIGINAL interior chrome and stainless steel and Nice matching two tone Black and Yellow door panels with correct stainless steel panels. This BEAUTY is quite a deal and you will be happy with your purchase. This 1955 Bird has outstanding looks and Great power as well ! These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension is in nice working order as well as the electrical system. The - code "V" - Goldenrod Yellow exterior finish on this car is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with a few very small imperfections. but as you can see in the pictures is bright. shiny and looks STUNNING on the car with the White top!! All of the light lenses and reflectors are clear. bright. uncracked and in nice shape. The matching Two Tone Black and Yellow interior is also BEAUTIFUL. what a GORGEOUS color combination !! how could you get any better !!? This car is nicely equipped including FOUR WAY POWER SEAT. original floor mounted shifter. aftermarket Oil pressure and Voltage gauges. back-up Electric Cooling Fan and seat belts. Original fender mounted chrome radio antenna. good heater. original Thunderbird AM radio which is not working. original clock which is also not working. original Rebuilt 4-Barrel carburetor under the hood. factory fender skirts. nice chrome drivers side exterior mirror. working electric windshield wipers. Factory Engine dress-up kit and factory gauges. It has a nice clean original trunk and a full size spare tire.

 

This vehicle is in GREAT mechanical condition and it runs and drives like a dream. I drove the car as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it did GREAT even on the freeway it cruised along at 70 mph with no problems ! When I drive this car people point and stare!! It is beautiful with respect to the overall cosmetic impression and check out the chrome and stainless on this car. it is BEAUTIFUL and the chrome grill is GORGEOUS it is not perfect. but very nice!! Also note the BEAUTIFUL White removable hardtop. TO COOL !! This car has BEAUTIFUL Original stainless steel Thunderbird wheelcovers and nice wide whitewall tires. Boy does this combination look OUTSTANDING on this car and give it that clean ORIGINAL look !! I looked underneath and it looks to have just been through a Frame-off restoration. all the floor pans and trunk pan all look to be in great condition. I included photos below. Again this is a NICE - SOLID - DRY - Oregon - Western vehicle and it has plenty of good looks to boot!
