COMPLETE CAR - Dismantled for restoration

Anyone who knows these cars will also know that it could be broken for spares making significantly more money if that way inclined. I'm NOT !! I love these cars. it should be restored and enjoyed for years to come.

I have just finished a 2 yr restoration of a 1966 230 SL to concourse standard - They are fantastic. and it draws crowds wherever it's parked !! I've done it in the Classic Merc colour combo of DB180 Silver Grey/Red Interior/Black soft top.

I bought this 250 about 2 yrs ago thinking I would restore it following the 230's completion. However. I've now got a classic Aston Martin on the go which is taking up my time (and money!). so it makes sense to part with the 250.

The 250 is a LHD California car with its Certificate of title and UK Customs form 389 with all duties paid.

There are Genuine Mercedes Invoices totalling £4000 for all sorts of parts that are with the car. New starter. nbsp;4 new discs. inner rear wings. front inner wing/chassis leg. rear panel. fuel tank. brake pads. clutch kit seals etc etc.

The manual gearbox has already been refurbished. the engine will require striping and re building.

The soft top frame is excellent (these can make £2k+ alone). The hard top is structurally sound (again they make fortunes second hand). nbsp;the chrome bumpers are in fantastic condition and are free of dents and rust (they are probably worth £500-£1000 as they are). nbsp;the body shell is very good having come from the US but will obviously require all the usual work. It is significantly better that the 230 I started off with which had a full MOT!!

Why spend £25-35k on an "entry level (shed!)" Pagoda that really needs restoring? You will find yourself wanting to start again with it. to end up with a properly sorted reliable car - I know from experience!

These cars are drawing big attention now. and exceptional cars are very expensive making it worthwhile spending time and money on a proper restoration.

The car will obviously need collecting on a car trailer. however. I would consider delivery for a fee and prior payment.

I think the car is sensibly priced. as it includes the brand new parts already bought

I am open to any kind of PX deal for Classic Car/Car/Boat/Watch etc WHY? (Other than another project) Try me

Thanks for looking

Steve
