Selling this for a female relative who had a heart attack. followed by a stroke. followed by another heart attack - she won't be driving this any time soon :(

WTF . the 5 owner shit is bull crap! My dad crashed his Toyota into a deer and no sign of it on his car fax for it. this is just another sign of carfax bullcrap that they know nothing about - I have state patrol collision reconstruction documents to prove it. Two people owned this car. the first was Charles P Reilly of Hollywood. the second owners were my family. Experian is wrong. A dealership master VIN inquiry proves everything mile by mile!

The GOOD:

Two-owner with flawless car fax.

Brand new transmission installed at the dealership 2 years ago and has less than 3. 00 miles on it!

Brand new tires still have the fuzzy hairs on it! (also less than 3. 00 miles)

Alignment done when tires were replaced – steers straight as an arrow.

Radiator replaced in 2010

All plastic and rubber around the engine was replaced since it was cracked and sending unmetered air faults to OBD2. This was done around 2011 or so.

Brand new OEM H. I. D. bulbs put in not even a month ago for BOTH headlamps (this is actually a big deal since it requires the removal of BOTH headlamps for installation)

New OEM Battery with OEM trickle charger for proper maintenance (this is actually a key thing to look for when buying an older Benz. if the owner is too cheap to buy an OEM battery for 30% more or so and instead goes to NAPA for it. it's a tell-tale sign of neglect and will cost you big down the road!)

California car brought here in 2009 and has since never seen snow or salt. always garaged and covered with OEM car cover (once again if someone opts for a cheap car cover. it just shows they aren't willing to spend money for proper upkeep and thus neglect)

All leather seats with contrast AMG stitching in extremely good shape and lack the distinctive “fat guy butt” wear pattern seen with most cars driven by men.

Climate control works perfect (AC blows ice cold. heat is hot and warm)

Regular (black metal) roof has AMG contrast stitching. OEM stand. OEM cover and is also included

Self leveling HID's work and so does the thing that raises or lowers the car by a couple inches.

SL1 and SL2 AMG sports package came standard on the SL600 giving it a body kit with distinct fog lights and staggered rims and tires.

The BAD:

There is a variety of colorful lights on the dashboard that popped on in recent months:

1) The red SRS has been diagnosed by dealership as “LIGHT RIGHT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR FAULTY” (currently $40 on ebay)

2) Here is what the dealership said about the yellow roll bar light: “FOUND FOR ROLL BAR LIGHT ON INTERNAL FAULT IN SOFT TOP MODULE” (about $500 on ebay)

The dealer obviously recommends replacing them both but the rag top still goes up and down with the press of the red button and both roofs also latch on flawlessly. so I didn't bother replacing them it.

3) The faulty light bulb light is on because all the car's halogen bulbs have been replaced with the most expensive LED bulbs from Vleds. com. so you never have to worry about getting pulled over for BS reasons like tail light being out. But it is still on. adding resistors to the circuit would fix this problem but at this point I kind of like all the colors on the display.

Wood on steering wheel is cracked and looks like hell (keep in mind most of this car's life was in Cali). I would replace it with a Brabus E-1 steering wheel that's $550 on ebay right now. yes it will fit. trust me (eBay item number 182256386954). That steering wheel is significantly better than Mercedes OEM.

Only one key

Rust found on front left fender. see pics for more info.

Rearview mirror broke (about $300-$400 on ebay).

Center console locked out (I must have not have re-inserted it properly when replacing the spring on the button to open it. on the bright side. if you open it you get a free GPS. a camera and some other goodies I left in there)

Wind deflector has some rather large holes in it but still works. just looks really bad. See pictures.
