1979 Chevrolet C-10

"Brown Gravy" is a 1979 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe short bed C10 with 79. 72 original miles. 5. 3 LS V8 engine. automatic transmission (4L60e). factory air conditioned truck (not currently hooked up). and an very nice 100% original GM factory interior.  This truck started out life in South Carolina. This truck is extremely clean and dependable. I would not hesitate to drive this truck across the country tomorrow without doing anything to it.  The truck has been upgraded with many new parts (detailed below). You will not find a nicer factory original interior. – the inside of the truck looks fresh and is 100% GM original.  

I am selling this truck to make room for other hot rods that I own. I purchased the truck in South Carolina. I am the second owner.  Please take time to read the full description and look through the pictures. Body and Chassis

All of the metal on the truck is original. The brown paint has been professionaly buffed to a flawless shine.  The paint is in very good condition considering the truck is 38 years old.   If you wanted a full show truck you could easily have one with this beauty.

The pictures tell the story of the body. It is straight and 99. 8% rust free. There is one very small rust spots on the underside of the rear fenders about the size of a fifty cent piece.  The rest of the truck is dent free.  

 The chassis also has a small c-notch above the rear axle to provide plenty of suspension travel clearance.  A professional shop did the chassis work and it was done correctly.

There are new 3” drop spindles on the front with new 2” lowering springs (we bought shorter springs. didn't cut the coils). We also installed new brakes and new shocks.

The rear-end has been flipped to the top side of the leaf springs giving it approximately 6” of drop. We put new shocks on the rear. as well.  

The wheels and tires are brand new. The rears are 22” x 10” and the fronts are 22” x 8. 5”.

Interior

You will not find a truck this age with a nicer 100% original interior. Everything looks great.  The dash is perfect.  The AM/FM radio works. The gauges work and have been converted to work with the LS motor.  This is a factory air conditioning truck. but it does need repaired in order for it to work. These are readily available. Please take time to look at the interior pictures so that you'll fully appreciate how nice this truck is.

Drivetrain

5. 3 LS Chevrolet Small Block and automatic transmission. Starts excellent every time. It idles well. doesn't smoke or run hot. You can sit in traffic in 100 degree heat with no issues. The engine has a “throaty” sound through a Flowmaster muffler. The transmission doesn't slip and shifts firm. You would have no issues with towing if you wanted to.  

I have a clear title.  You will have no trouble if your state requires a similar type of inspection when bringing in an out-of-state vehicle.
