With nearly 50 models to choose from over four series of chassis models. they were able to capitalize on every facet of the market audience! From entry level to the expensive luxury they were well known for. they could cater to all buyers! It was for this fact. they sold more units at the end of the 1937 than they would ever match again! Although. the majority of those units sold. some 90% to be more exact. were the entry level 115 or 120 Series models. New features included standard hydraulic brakes. new Safe-T-Flex front suspension for a smoother feel to the lucky driver. and the elimination of the outdated Bijuc lubrication system as well as the adjustable ride control system. The balance of luxury models like the Super Eight and V12 continued to be built in limited supply and continue to be the most sought after today!

We are very excited to offer this beautifully cared for 1937 Packard Super Eight Series 1502 Touring Sedan featuring the desired 139” 7-passenger chassis! Finished in original Gloss Black exterior with Gray cloth interior. this older restored example continues to retain an appearance of a totally original car from new! its original 320ci Straight 8 engine mated to a 3-speed manual shift transmission. this car continues to run with perfect ease! Additional features include dual side-mounted spare tires with rearview mirrors. front bumper guards. rear luggage rack. wide whitewall tires. dual reverse lights. AM radio. heater/defrost. full dash instrumentation; rear fold-away jump seats. privacy shades. floor foot rests. and entry strap handles!

This Packard has been cared for by the former owner of 30 years. who proudly used this vehicle as a special use limousine in their professional limousine service. Obviously used selectively for special occasions only. this Packard was never left to sit for lengthy periods of time without running or regular service intervals. The car was last restored approximately 50 years ago. so the paint does show patina and wear in the normal areas. especially around the hood. and entry door areas. Although. it may be considered ready for a repaint by a select few. the paint bears a unique original appearance appreciated by all that see it firsthand! The very same can be said for the interior. Both remain totally serviceable and ready to be enjoyed as-is in our opinion! This particular example sold brand new from Packard Car Company Co. based in New York City.
