MI plant and is presented in Colonial White with Pleated Flame Red Vinyl interior. The D-code: 312 cubic inch; 3. 80 x 3. 44 bore and stroke; 9. 71:1 compression ratio; single 4V Holley carburetor; 245 horsepower @ 4500 rpm; 332 lb-ft torque @ 2300 rpm is backed by a Ford-o-matic 2-speed transmission with a 3. 10 rear end gear. Other options include Power steering. telescoping steering wheel. Power windows. power seats. Porthole hard top along with the soft top and wire wheels with radial tires. The car has 39. 50 miles that we believe to be true as stated by the previous owner. Here is a brief history of the 1957 Ford Thunderbird: Some major styling changes took place on the 1957 Ford Thunderbird from previous years. Inside. the instrument panel was redesigned with clustered dials plus new designs to the all-vinyl upholstery and trim combinations. Outside the spare tire went back into the trunk. which didn't occupy too much room in the 5 feet by 5-1/2 feet space. The standard top for the '57 Thunderbird. made of glass-fiber. was removable and had stylish port windows (also available without port windows). A manually operated soft top was also an option but at an extra cost. Tops were available in black. blue. tan or white and comfort-sealed against the weather.
