Mk1 MGB Roadster in original Iris Blue

We are seling our beloved MGB Roadster "Penny" to fund another project.

She's an early Mk1 Pull Handle MGB Roadster in original Iris Blue. with matching black leather interior and matching blue piping. chrome bumpers. wire wheels.

She is 48 yrs young . 1st registered in February 1965 & was purchsed by us 8 years ago as a wedding present. since then has been subjected to a "Rolling restoration" this means she has been restored to drive. not concourse & benefits from:

A reconditioned 5 bearing engine
A rebuilt 4 speed gear box (no overdrive)
Carbs rebuilt and balanced
New Steel bonnet
New windscreen & rubbers to frame
New Quarterlights & rubbers
Complete new sound deadening & new carpets including in the boot

Brand new Yuasa battery

She has a packaway hood. in great condition with no rips or tears. She also has a full PVC Tonneau cover with brand new zips. and a half Tonneau cover

Additionally she has a stunning works hardtop that's been sprayed to match the car. this has a glass rear window and Perspex side windows. this also has all new rubbers.

I have a Heritage certificate for the vehicle detailing the build date. sale date and optional extra's fitted when new. Oil Cooler. packaway hood and Wire wheels

£6100 valuation from MGOC in 2010 before the main restoration work was done (engine. gearbox and interior)

The car will come with a 12 month MOT. it is currently on Sorn. Tax exempt due to age.

There are a couple of faults that need to be mentioned. the fuel gauge does not function though I do have a new fuel tank sender and the rev counter needs to be re-calibrated.

All in all this is a very desirable and drivable classic MGB. is our pride and joy and we are sad to be selling her.

As I mentioned Penny is on Sorn at present. delivery can however be arranged (in the UK ONLY). but you will need to come view the car and pay in full for both the car and delivery.

I also have a number of spares and replacement parts for the car including H4 headlights if you want to swap them from the sealed beam units. nbsp;a spare exhaust system. the original black leather seats. I also have a fold down hood frame that needs refurbishment that will go with the car when sold.
