Technical specifications, photos and description:
When I purchased this vehicle the previous owner had driven the car from Essex to Weston Park near Telford and back in 1991 to attend the national microcar rally. On his return the car was put in the garage until I purchased it. Since I acquired the car I decided to see if I could get the engine running. after cleaning out the petrol tank. fitting a new battery and petrol tap. the car started. revved OK. the charge light goes out and the engine ticks over very sweetly. I was tempted to drive the car around the garden however the brake pedal was very stiff and therefore I decided that I needed to check all the brakes before I attempted to drive it (as if I applied the brakes they may become locked on).
The previous owner had told me that the car had had a replacement floor pan (see photos). which appears to be in very good condition. The inner sills also appear to be very good. All the lights and windscreen wipers work. the indicators are original. The chrome is lightly pitted otherwise its good. The car is fitted with a clock and I have the key (the previous owner tells me it works). I also have a spare ignition and door key. The perspex windows are remarkably good for originals. the quarter lights are glass. I have a new set of brake pipes. air filter. needle roller bearings (suspension) which go with the car.
Also there are the following spares
an additional spare wheelcarb floatsbosch regulatormaster cylinderoriginal petrol capcarb and float chamber bodiesplus a few other bits and bobs
I have a V5. owners handbook. parts book. old log book and original workshop manual.
This is an original unmolested car. which I was going to put back on the road and use without doing a major restoration. The reason for the sale is that I am no longer fit enough to complete even a minor restoration. The worst part of the car is the split on the nearside front wing (see photo).
