When you're looking for the ultimate in cargo carrying capability without sacrificing comfort and reliability. your search will begin and end with a Ford truck that's powered by the legendary Powerstroke diesel engine. This '06 F250 Lariat has all the comforts you've come to expect like HEATED LEATHER SEATS. keyless entry. power windows/locks/seats. tilt/cruise. etc. plus it's a big crew cab so it has the crew and cargo carrying capability that you need. It's got real four wheel drive too with 3. 73 limited slip differentials. Best of all. it's got a POWERSTROKE DIESEL engine that runs great!

This is no stripped-down work truck either. It's a loaded-up Lariat with many upgrades such as a bedliner. turnover ball. and an AM/FM Stereo with 6disc CD changer as well as a fold-up console so you have storage as well as 3-across front seating. Also included are a set of 20" XD alloy wheels that are wrapped in a great matching set of tires which. along with the leveling kit. really set this truck apart from the crowd.

Other options include TOW COMMAND. upfitter switches. bedliner. power adjustable pedals. and power sliding rear window. It even has a B&W turnover ball in the bed although they didn't bother to cut an opening in the bedliner for it. Even if you don't need it. this is an expensive setup that only adds value to the truck. We've driven it quite a few miles and can't find anything to complain about.

This truck was traded-in at the local dealer on a new one. The EGR is deleted. If you had to go to the dealer to get all that done. you'd easily spend over a thousand dollars. There is also a small 40hp H&S tow tune installed mainly for better MPGs as well as an oversize exhaust that sounds great but isn't blatty or extra loud. It doesn't run rough cold either! What this means for you is that all the 6. 0 Powerstroke issues are already taken care of and this truck has enough power to go anywhere and do it as fast as you want. These '06-07 trucks have a lot of other updates done by the factory to the engine that the earlier models do not have. These upgrades increase reliability and longevity immensely compared to the older ones.

 Don't let the 193k miles worry you. it's barely broken-in! We regularly see these trucks with 400-500. 00 miles and running strong. It's a Southern truck so there are absolutely NO RUST HOLES OR RUST BUBBLES. We've had our mechanic go over this truck top to bottom so we wouldn't hesitate to get in this truck and drive it anywhere! Feel free to fly in and drive it home no matter where that may be. vehicle overview Although most consumers will find that a regular half-ton pickup truck like the F-150 meets their day-to-day requirements. those with bigger towing and hauling tasks may need something more substantial. The next step up the ladder is a three-quarter-ton pickup truck. and Ford's entry in this class is the 2006 F-250 Super Duty. Square-jawed. big-rig styling distinguishes the F-250 from its half-ton sibling on the outside. but the most important differences are underneath where a stouter frame and larger engines give it the strength to carry heavier payloads and pull heavier trailers.

Three-quarter-ton buyers have plenty of options to consider when equipping their trucks. For starters. you can go with a Regular cab. Extended cab (SuperCab in Ford speak) or Crew Cab. Regular cabs have an 8-foot-long bed. while SuperCabs and crew cabs can have the 8-footer or an easier-to-manage 6. 75-foot bed. depending on what size loads you plan to carry. Inside. the Ford F-250 pickup truck is beginning to show its age. It's plenty roomy up front. but the seats aren't very comfortable even with the King Ranch treatment and there isn't enough storage space. Crew cabs offer ample room for two or three passengers in back. and when you fold the rear seats up to make way for cargo. a utility tray flips out from underneath to keep the load floor flat.

driving

The F-250 Super Duty is actually quite civil on the highway. as it soaks up heavy ruts and bumps with ease while providing a quiet ride. Although the truck feels big from behind the wheel and has a large turning radius. handling is generally surefooted and the brakes perform well during panic stops. Acceleration is smooth and linear with the Power Stroke diesel V8. while the five-speed automatic transmission upshifts cleanly and holds gears when necessary. such as when there's a trailer hitched to the back.
