Daimler Steyr Puch Haflinger 700AP.

l have owned the Haflinger for the past 34 odd years.

You will be hard pressed to find a better original Haflinger than this one.

It has always been stored / covered inside my factory.

Has some Australia Army options.  

In 1991 l sent the Haflinger off to have the  

running gear reconditioned by Tony in Mulgrave.

Anyway it was finished in 2001.

The chassis was removed and the

front differential and front end was dismantled and reconditioned. as was the

centre connecting tube.

The rear differential and gear box were disassembled and

bearing / gears / gaskets / shafts were replaced.

At this time l decided to have a PTO fitted which was

mostly NOS parts.

The engine was dismantled and reconditioned / bored / new bearings etc and

then the chassis was put back on.

The replacement parts were genuine Haflinger parts

sourced locally of from overseas.

It has the 2 rears seats fitted.

Duel fuel tanks as per Army specs.

New canopy.

Was registered until 2104.

PTO doesn't have the vertical lever in between the front seats.

Tyres and rims were custom made for driving around the streets as

l decided to was too good to take off road. but l have some spare

13 inch Fiat rims.

In the sale l will include a spare motor. diff / gearbox / hours meter gauge

that l never refitted.

I estimate that l have driven approximately 300kms since the rebuild.

In todays costs the rebuild was over 36K

plus the cost of the Haflinger itself.

Looks like may have to incur some losses on the original

build price / costing.

My loss is your gain.

If you think the asking cost is too much

there is no need to tell me.

Third time lucky, I hope. If anybody is receiving these messages kindly get in touch with me to inform as to the status of this vehicle. Is it still for sale? Can a viewing be organised?
