The Jeep was originally a Wisconsin Jeep. never driven in winters. and it has spent the last 5 years in Tahoe Nevada where there is no salt. I bought it in 2005 from a friend-of-a-friend.  At the time I bought it it had a 304 v8 with poor compression. no lift. 2-peice axles. 3. 73 gears. and 31" tires. The body is original steel.  Now it has 4. 56 gears. 33"x12. 5" tires. rear detroit & front detroit TruTrac lockers. 1-piece rear shafts. 2. 5" Wide spring lift. and long block.  Read on for more details.
The VIN code original paint is silver and it has been painted a beautiful maroon/burgundy color which is a 60's 'Ford Red'.  The body had been painted the 1960s 'Ford Red' color when I bought it.  There are two minor spots of rust that show above the rear tires on the body fender wells. refer to the photos & these were present when I bought the jeep in 2005.  There are some scuffs in the clear coat which were present when I bought the jeep as well as a few spider web cracking on the original fiberglass front fenders. With the suspension/lockers/gearing it could probably tackle just about anything.   It has been in storage since 2011 driven only occasionally - less than 2-3 times per summer in the last 2 years.  It had 89k on the odometer when I bought it. and now it's got 104k.   That's a bit of a misnomer though. because the speedometer turns fast from the tire size so it actually has less than the stated mileage.  Refer to the video to see how the speedometer reads fast and the actual mileage/speed is less (I usually use a GPS Speed App on my cell phone which you can see in the video).  The lift springs are the wider YJ springs and I can tell you they definitely ride a lot better than the CJ width springs.  The motor is a great running remanufactured (from S&S Engine) V8 with about 12000 miles on it. it has a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. 4. 56 gears. front and rear lockers. and 33" all terrains.  We had a mechanic look at it about 3 weeks ago.  He replaced the timing chain cover gasket and consequently the coolant and oil is fresh too. The mechanic said it was a great jeep and if he had more money he would buy it himself.  If your feedback is less than 5 you must contact me prior to bidding.  Paypal $500 required immediately at close of auction and balance by cash or cashiers check only.

Details:

Underhood:
Remanufactured AMC 304 V8 Long Block built by S&S Engine Remanufacturing in winter 2005. The remanufactured long block (bottom and top end fresh) engine came with an RV low end cam. They are good engines supplied with a 7year/70k warranty. It has about 11. 00 actual miles on it.   Remanufactured means the engine is like new from the factory. which is more than a rebuilt engine.  I have the paperwork on the engine.  Odometer had 89000 when the long block went in.
The cam is a sport RV cam - Made for low end torque. great for offroading.   The power band is about 2200-3800 RPM.  Get in sit down & hang on!
Edelbrock performer intake manifold
4 barrel Edelbrock carb.   I also have a needle/jet kit I'll include with the Jeep.  Currently it's jetted for Wisconsin.  Adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge
Long Headers into dual glass packs and out the back. Sounds great. throaty and powerful.
New distributer/plugs &plug wires/ignition coil/fuel pump/alternator/water pump with engineNew Radiator in 2011
Transfer case is the stock Dana 300.   These are essentially the best transfer cases put in Jeeps ever.
Transmission is the 4 speed T-176 rebuilt by previous owner.
Clutch - Centerforce Dual Friction new with engine.   Does not slip at all.  Centerforce clutch disk & pressure plate. Flywheel - new with engine
Brakes - New pads/disks/master cylinder/rear cylinder in 2009.  Second rear cylinder was fine so the spare is included in the spare parts.
New power steering pump line

Axles/Suspension
The Rear axle is the AMC 20 rebuilt in 2009 with 1 piece Yukon shafts. 4. 56 gearing/carrier. and the real deal Detroit locker. New wheel bearings and brake shoes. Front and rear gears/lockers installed at odometer 100065 mi
The Front axle is the Dana 30 with 4. 56 gears. a Detroit Truetrack locker. and manual hubs.  Newer ball joints and wheel bearings (odometer had 94740 mi)
2. 5" suspension lift with YJ springs. YJ springs are 2. 5" wide vs. 2" CJ springs for better ride. They take bumps with less jitter than the shorter narrower CJ springs. They have 2 full length springs with a half wrap at the ends for further dependability. Of course. new shocks on all corners with spring install.  Suspension done at odometer 98100
The tires are 33" x 12. 5" all terrains. Plenty of life left in these. Extended bump stops up front so there's no tire rub on any corner.   The spare is a 31" but it does have a spare. New U-joints in 2010. I include one spare for the trail just in case for the buyer.
Body/Etc
The paint is a nice deep maroon.   I had it at an professional autobody shop supplier and they determined it is "Ford Red 1960's" shade.  I bought the last two cans of paint they had in case I needed it.  I've never used it on the jeep but they're included.
Fiberglass front fenders with some gel cracks. but they are good overall. I haven't noticed any new cracking since I bought the Jeep.  There is one ding about the size of a quarter on the front of one fender where a rack on an ATV was accidentally backed into the Jeep.
The spots I mentioned around the rear fenderwell rivets which were present when I bought the Jeep.
Diamond plate runners dress up the sides with matching rear corner guards.  These were not put on to cover up rust & you can look from underneath to confirm that.   The previous owner had installed these. There are scratches in the clearcoat.

Champion Power Equipment winch. I believe 8k lbs. Works great and looks sweet. I believe it is actually made by Ramsey. I bought it at Costco.  Includes snatch block.
The rear bumper is a work of art. It looks similar to a Warn rock crawler. but it's got a nicer tire carrier that is lockable. 2" receiver built in. We removed the spare for the pictures but it does have a spare.
Two tops are included. a tan Best Top Soft top and a Black Bikini Top. The Soft Top has zip on windows. though the back window has one cracked area and the area near the driver's door shows some wear.
Full metal doors are included as well. They can be removed when it's nice out which is fun.
The seats are high back Best brand. Black Vinyl. They're comfortable. Rear seat is original factory.
Steering wheel is a beautiful wood Grant model.
Floor covering carpet.
There is no radio. The previous owner had a junk radio in it which I removed because with the top down and doors off I couldn't hear a radio.
The original gauges are there. A Summit water temp gauge was added below the dash. I like to see a number with my water temp rather than the standard HC gauge especially in the boonies.
The gas gauge doesn't work. I just top off every 100-125 miles or so.
A few of the dashboard fan knobs came off but we still have the knobs. The interior temperature adjustment isn't connected to the knob but it can be adjusted near the drivers feet. The fan was upgraded to the K-Blazer fan and blows hot air when you want it. The thermostat is a 190F.   Plenty of hot air for fall/spring for hunting. etc.  Probably would be fine in the winter too but the salt on our roads here is terrible so I haven't driven it in the winter. KC Daylights are mounted to the windshield on the side.  The on/off switch for the KC Daylighters needs to be replaced.
I have a full set of seals for the hard doors and windshield which I haven't installed but will include with the Jeep.
I mentioned the speedometer and odometer are not accurate due to the larger tires and gearing. The odometer has 104xxx miles. The actual mileage on the vehicle is less. It had 89k on the odometer when I bought it.

You can see ding on the front driver's fender from ATV rack backing into it

Note there's a couple scratches on the hood in the clear coat. but the paint is shiny:
Drivers door area of the soft top shows wear

The photo includes the knobs but a couple of them are not fixed to the post so they come off.
Fuel gauge inoperable.
Add on oil pressure and temperature gauges.

Back seat is original.
Small tear in drivers seat bottom. inside of doors and door frames show some scratches.

Tires have good tread
Again some scratching inside the doors.  Mosquito got in the picture near the door.
Dash pad included but not installed.

1-piece Yukon shafts.  Some surface rust starting to show on the rims.

The driver's suspension bump stop fell off once and I had to replace it.  There is now one red one on the passengers and the second black is included as a spare.
Mounts and frame look good

The driver's door latch had been taken off they said it closes better without the metal plate.
