1987 Morgan  4/4 4 Seater

First Registered: 01/08/1987.  I have owned the car for the last 7 years.

The car is MOT'd to July 2014 and taxed till 31/12/2013.

A lovely Morgan 4/4 4 seater. which drives very well and is mechanically very strong. However it has a bit of patina which is a reflection of its age. regular use and mileage. But it could equally be enjoyed is this condition and restored if desired in the future. A great opportunity to get a Morgan at a very affordable price.

Mileage: 148. 00 approx. (Engine replaced at approx 100. 00)

Colour – Ferrari Rossa Corsa Red.
Trim & Weather gear  – Black vinyl / Everflex.
Black Wire Wheels (9. 00 miles old – Black Powder coated – MWS Wheels)

Car will come with its original wheel nuts and removal tool. Front Fog Lights (Not connected)

Engine:
1600 Ford CVH Engine (XR2 – Lean Burn – lower emissions)
(Replacment Engine by Morgan dealer at approximately 100k. so approx 47. 00 miles on replacement engine. )

The engine had a new cambelt fitted. and gearbox strip and rebuild approx 18. 00 miles ago my Mike Stewart Performance Engineering. Errol Scotland.

Mechanically:
The car is mechanically in very good condition. it drives very well. 9. 00 miles ago (2 years) it had the following items fitted by Harpers Morgans.

Set of 4 new Black Powder Coated MWS Wire wheels.
Set of 4 new hubs and splines.
New front disk brakes and pads. both sides.

Full Front suspension rebuilt including:
New front inner and outer wheel bearings.
New Koni Classic Adjustable Shock absorbers front.
New front king pins and bushes
Body & Structure:
It is understood the car received new inner wings and bulkhead at time of the engine replacement. however they are now showing evidence of slight corrosion.

The car has aluminium body and wings. which show signs of patina with scratches. a few parking dings. and wing edge corrosion in places. however the car benefits from 2 pack paint and still looks presentable.

Due to the 1987 year. the car has a cuprinoll treated wood frame from new. and the ash frame is sound. There is some slight movement on the door hinge but this is due to hinge wear. the frame is still sound.

The car is garaged in Barons Court (W14) in West London. so very accessible as on the Piccadilly Line (Heathrow 40 minutes). Contact me if you wish to view it.

Given the exportable age of the car. I would be happy assist export. if the buyer wanted to make the necessary arrangements.

Dear Sir,

I am looking for a 4 seater Morgan to import to France(I live in Lille). I would like to find out about the feel of driving a 1.6l engine : is it powerfull enough?
Honestly speaking, why is the price lower than average for this type of car : is there any particular reason?
