1969 Firebird Specs:   All original floors. chassis frame components etc. The under body including the rockers were absolutely pristine! This is the main reason I purchased this car. all the important structural stuff was intact. We then disassembled the car completely. including removal of rear quarters and took it to American Dry Stripping and had it completely stripped and soda blasted to insure we were getting any rust issues cleaned up and thoroughly epoxy primed the entire body and all chassis parts before starting the metal work.    We installed complete new quarters not sections and attached them using today's new metal bonding technology and spot welded them in place with a professional. auto body spot welder so all the welds looked original. And they do! In addition the new bonding adhesive the body shops use today makes for an amazingly strong bond making the back end of the car even more rigid than factory. All sheet metal used was NOS sheet metal except for the hood and deck lid and these are fitted perfectly.   Finally hours of blocking and sanding to ensure a very straight body. All body parts were installed and gap fitted and then disassembled and all components painted off the car. Also using today's modern paint techniques. then assembled and cut and buffed. The underside of this car is also detailed and is in perfect condition. no rust scalloping or other signs of a very rusty underbody. All stainless brake and fuel lines as well. Fuel tank also new.    Engine 400 cubic inch 330 HP numbers matching with all machine work documented and professionally assembled. Ram Air 3 cam. block 030 over. decked and crank line bored and polished. All new stainless valves. springs and hardened exhaust seats to tolerate today's fuels. Rebuilt original Quadrajet Carb. cooling system has heavy duty Desert Cooler 4 Core radiator as well as oe tower clamps and runs well without any overheating issues.      Transmission is a numbers matching Muncie M20 4 speed. again original to the car. completely rebuilt with a 4speed Hurst Competition plus body with the round correct chrome stick.      Rear Differential featured a 3:55 gear set positraction unit completely rebuilt using the finest components available and all work performed by a master technician experienced in the Pontiac product line.       All brakes were completely restored to like new specs. all wiring harnesses were replaced and are correct in every detail. Dash gauges were restored by Potomac Pontiac and the Dash Pad was restored by Just Dashes in California. All interior components completely restored using all parts by Legendary Auto Interiors. the best in the business for quality interior parts.     The Convertible top frame was completely disassembled. painted and installed with a new top installed by a professional installer.      The chrome parts on the car were all rechromed original components no cheap Chinese stuff that never fits properly.      Car runs and drives excellent and is an amazing example of what Pontiac had to offer in 1969 This is a true piece of American History from a time when the big 3 automakers were building powerful beautiful and fun driving machines! This is essentially a new 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertible.
