1954 Packard Packard Base Convertible 2-Door (359 ci) for sale
Brand new top. hardware and paint.
Top lowers & raises perfect just as it should Power windows all work very good. the hydraulic system is in very good working order.
Power steering works perfect Color is either Orchard green or Bellevue green. both were Packard colors for 1954 Has the original wonderful 359 Packard straight 8. last yr for the straight 8 and only year Packard made the 359.
Even still has the original 359 aluminum head in excellent shape. Engine starts super quick & easy and runs strong & smooth with no smoke. It was obviously maintained well.
Four bias WWW ply tires in very good condition with almost 100% tread left Interior & dash in excellent condition.
Paint isn't perfect but in good condition with some minor scrapes but overall better than driver condition--very unique Packard color Convertible top boot in excellent condition.
Undercarriage in good condition--no rust Brakes work fine but I would go through them if I were going to tour with the car as they're not as good as they could be
I have driven the car on short drives and it runs well. I have driven it and let it idle for quite sometime in the high heat & humidity and it never got past 1/2 way on temp gauge which does work properly.
Chrome isn't perfect but still in very nice shape
This is a very nice 1954 Packard convertible. only 863 were made and fewer and fewer exist year by year in this condition.
Still has the original correct body tag on the firewall. I couldn't get a good pic of it but it's there. I have more photos of the car than I can put on Ebay so email if you want to see them. also will try putting a video of the top & windows being operated - . CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO.
Please ask any questions you may have and I'll be glad to honestly answer them.

I checked the Paint code inside on the glove box and its "N" which signifies Packard "Bellevue Green"
Also. I'm no leather/vinyl expert but it appears to be leather by the grain and I did a fingernail scratch test in a non seen area and it left a mark like leather does. On Sep-02-13 at 16:17:56 PDT. seller added the following information:
In case you don't see the text in the video the engine sounds way louder in the video than it actually is. My camera somehow makes it sound like my 2004 Dodge Cummins diesel! It isn't near as loud as the video sounds like. It sounds like a Packard. On Sep-05-13 at 08:30:12 PDT. seller added the following information:
I've had a couple of questions about the block behind the driver's side rear wheel. It's simply there for piece of mind because the parking brake isn't as tight as it could be. my driveway is on a slight hill and I don't take chances with cars like this. With the brake on and the car in PARK it is fine but again I don't take chances with these cars.On Sep-05-13 at 10:53:03 PDT. seller added the following information:
After re-reading my original description I left out two minor issues that I meant to put in there--sorry. when you have small children in the house while doing Ebay ads things get overlooked sometimes :)
Anyway. the driver's side window has a hairline crack that I can't get to show up in photos. it doesn't affect anything at all and works perfect going up & down. Lastly. the rear passenger fender top molding is cracked and I'm replacing it with a NOS piece so it will be perfect. It's the chromed pot metal piece that is about 20 inches long. OK. that's it and sorry for all the additions but I want to try and reveal everything I know about the car.
(9-15-13)--I'm re-listing this very nice 54 Packard convertible. the high bid last auction was $24000 so I'm setting the bid accordingly as I want to sell it. Please ask any questions you may have. I'll answer them promptly. Thank you.
