Most collectors today know that the post war foreign sports car have been some of the most collectible cars in the last decade.   Of course it is well known that the XKE's is one of the favorites among savvy collectors.   Recently the V12 roadsters. which were well behind the six cylinder roadsters have been making a steep climb in value in the marketplace knowing that collectors do vote with their pocketbooks.

The 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster is essentially a one owner. one driver car since new.   The seller's employer purchased this car new for the seller and he has always been the only driver.   The car was given to the seller by his employer when he left his employment and the car was then titled in his personal name.   The odometer is showing 50. 00 something miles but the odometer has turned over.   The seller has told us that less then a hundred miles ago the engine had a rebuild which included such things as the timing chain. valves. cylinder head. carburetor tune up. harmonic balancer and basically anything that the engine needed was done at a cost of about $6. 00. 00.   The private seller tells us that two original fans on the radiator was replaced with a larger fan for driving in hot weather.   The seller tells us that when he looked at the car on the lift there was a small nickel size rust spot on the under carriage.   The seller tells us that he drove it the other day and it runs great.   The car has the original soft top that the seller tells us is "serviceable" and it also comes with the rare and optional hard top.   The car does have air conditioning but it is not currently working.   Note the seller tells us that the last charge lasted for about two years.   The car has a 4-speed transmission.   The car includes the original radio.   The front end of the car was repainted about three years ago and the seller thinks it was about 20 years ago that the car had been painted.   The seller does have the original window sticker. the original handbook and Tonneau cover.   The seller told us that the car runs great and it is a joy to drive and says that these are great cars for long range touring.   Original stock aluminum wheels.
