GREAT NEWS!!.   The convertible top has been found!!. The outer burgundy vinyl is in great shape. as are all the snaps. nbsp;the inner chrome spreaders. and the chrome-framed rear window. The side shields (windows) were also found safe and sound in a little case to protect them. I even have the thumbscrews to attach the front of the top to the windshield frame. The inner insulating liner on the top has some holes and stains (I'd replace or cut it out). I also found a really nice remote operated chrome spotlight with a mirror on the back that once was on the driver side of the car. It has all hardware and is in spectacular shape!  I got the top to within about 3/4" of snapping up all the way around just mounting it indoors (that's why it looks a little limp). I will park the car in the sun tomorrow and I think I will get enough stretch to get it all snapped in solidly.   I will add a link to some pictures of the top and the spotlight tonight.
