VIDEO PRESENTATION BELOW. ENJOY

The Oldsmobile 98 was a full size automobile and the flagship model of the Oldsmobile division of General Motors. A complete reengineering greeted the Oldsmobile fans in 1957. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this 57' Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight.

W
We are happy to present this very nice 4 door sedan that is a good driver.

Again the top of the line Oldsmobile was 4 door body style 98 series. this year is officially titled Starfire 98.  Being part of its tasteful 50's styling. this car showcases a light turquoise paint. in very nice condition and a prime example of how amazing this car was when new and how much more value it has now adays.

All of our pictures for this 1957 Oldsmobile were taken at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas Love Field. if you find yourself in Dallas make sure to visit them it is only a few minutes away from our showroom.

The Olds has had a repaint of it's original color.

This Oldsmobile remained the performance line. sharing its high power engine with the luxury top range 98s. In all. these are a very nice group of collectible cars for all the reasons that made them so desirable when new.

Its interior matches the exterior color. featuring the same tone upholstery. A very classy and very sophisticated look with a luxury dashboard; grabbing the attention of those who have the opportunity to get inside a car like this Oldsmobile 98.

The undersides of the doors are solid and show little or no rust.

Plenty of space for those riding in the front and the rear of the car. with 4 doors anybody is able to get in and out with ease. Well kept bench seats that look like 56 years ago.

The luxury dashboard is wraped in leather. and all of its upholstery was redone about 10. 00 miles ago.  A rebuilt A/C system. windshield wiper motor are also new updates.

The car has had some upgrades through it's  life. the transmission has been rebuilt. drive line . differential.  wheel bearings. brake shoes replaced and  the power steering unit rebuilt.

The new bias ply 950x14 wide white tires wrap around wheels that match the car.

The trunk is well detailed and includes a spare tire and jack.

The engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago. estimated 10K miles since rebuilt. A 371 cu in 6. 1L Rocket V8 engine is in place which it was its standard engine at the time. Producing 277 horse power this engine can take you anywhere wanted. Shifting as smooth as it should and with a long life ahead.

For an extra kick . in the later 1957 production year. you could order the J2 option. J2 had been around as a performance option since the early 50's. but for 1957 ran three two barrel carburetors. This car features its original J2. It is a trio of 2 barrell carbs on top of a standard Olds 371 Rocket engine; linked together via a vacuum operated linkage. This Olds is running just right.

Its undercarriage is in very good condition. the body is very straight with everything in place. The fuel tank sending unit. rear springs. lower ball joints. power break unit and the dual exhaust were all replaced.
