This car has had full body-off restoration with new panels.
All new interior. Also has GT6 quarter lights on the doors to complete the look.
Brand new Canvas roof hood.
Chassis has been fully restored with all new parts (calipers refubished with new seals and pistons )and even nuts & bolts plus poly-bushed all round.
Stainless brake hoses on new cupro-nickel brake pipes filled with DOT 5 silicone fluid. New fuel lines. Rear brakes have the 8 inch GT6 drums and shoes with correct slave cylinders (instead of poorer standard 7 inch spitfire ones)
Full resto on chassis.
Engine: full rebuild with unleaded leak-tested conversion (stainless valve seats). Bored to +0. 20 with new matched pistons. New 1500 cam with much revier mk3 grind on cam lobes. The perfect combination for this engine.
Inlet Manifold ported matched the mk3 gasket (give 3 more horse-power apparently). New cam followers.
Carbs been rebuilt with SU kit and have the AAQ matched needles for the K&N filters and stainless extractor exhaust manifold (4-2-1). stainless phoenix twin sports silencer. Sounds absolutely fantastic.
Oil cooler with long (to hold more oil)stainless braided hoses. a must for the sporty 1500. New full-width radiator(not smaller standard radiator).
Sports slot alloys with new tyres all round. br> Moto-lita wooden dished steering wheel and boss.
D-type overdrive gearbox fitted and new clutch system.
As I say. Everything has been renewed. except the bumpers which are original and have age related marking.
I have receipts totalling over £7500 just for parts (every single receipt retained. These receipts would total over £10k if I did not have the skills to do the restoration myself and had to pay labour charges.
The car is not concourse but is done to a very desirable and high spec.
Ask any 1500 spitfire enthusiast in the know. what mods should be done to get optimum performance and they will tell you - everything this car has had done.
Just needs engine & radiator valences
Far to much to list. but I guarantee. it is worth every penny.

Also included are 3 hardtops all in need of restoration::

1 x original steel (started restoring)

1 x standard fibre glass.

1 x rare fastback (without boot) fibre glass. Very rare on the 1500.

Spare engine. (in bits) with couple cylinder heads

Taxed and MOT'd 1st June 2013.
