We have owned this Splitty since November 2004. It was imported earlier that year by a VW enthusiast. who then. once we had purchased the Splitty. resprayed for us in VW Pastel White over Ford Light Blue.  Since then we have improved and maintained the vehicle to make it useable as an everyday driver.  A vintage style interior was installed - allowing it to be used as a flexible space. from camping to carrying kids to and from university.  I need to be realistic about the price as currently it is running a bit hesitant in the mid-range but starts well and runs . it would probably benefit from a knowledgeable enthusiast. The engine was rebuilt three years ago. It has recently had a new carb fitted and I have always maintained it regularly. as I use it most days.  There are a few paint defects. notably the front passenger door (see pictures for this and other minor issues).
It is an honest van and due to it's Australian origins it has no serious rust problems. the chassis is solid.  
We need to sell because we are moving to a house without a garage and cannot take it with us.
We will be sad to see it go as it is part of the family but it needs to go to a good home.
As I have been honest about the van I expect the same from any purchasers. and I feel I have set the start price realistically.
Only bid if you mean to purchase . or make a serious offer - viewings recommended (SO31 area). 10%  deposit to be paid through Paypal. as soon as the auction finishes. by the winner. The remainder to be paid in cash or cleared cheque prior to release of the vehicle.
