EXTERIOR
The Lachs Silver paintwork is a wonderful colour option against the M3s angular lines. The current owner has lavished attention on the car while in his ownership. a full re-spray was carried out purely for aesthetic reasons and has been finished to an excellent standard. As such the paintwork is in excellent condition and boasts a sharp metallic flake with a deep shine. there are also very few stone chips or blemishes to report whatsoever. All of the black trim and window rubbers remain in excellent condition with no damage.

The M3 has been fitted with an additional rear lip spoiler which can be found on the later Evolution II M3. All of the lights remain free from any cracks or moisture.

INTERIOR
This example is equipped with the black Recaro leather sports seats. a factory optional extra in its time. Both front seats are in good order with only some light wrinkles in the leather to report. Common areas such as the bolsters are all free from any cracks or damage. The rear seats are in especially good condition. still feeling supple and soft due to the limited use over the years.

The steering wheel has been trimmed with Alcantara cloth which not only looks fantastic but also still feels soft in hand. All of the switchgear remains free from excessive wear and operates exactly as it should.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The S14 engine is in excellent mechanical condition having been treated to a re-built in 2004 by Robinsons Motor Engineers. This included a complete overhaul of the head and pistons. pressure testing. re-facing and re-shimming valves. replaced timing chain and tensioners.

A stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted which is not intrusive and comes with a lifetime guarantee. The standard gearshift has been replaced with a short-shift system that is sporty and quick to operate on the road. making for quick precise changes throughout the rev range.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The gleaming 15" X-spoke alloy wheels have all recently been refurbished. as such they remain unmarked with no scuffs to report. All the BMW centre caps are also in perfect condition with no lacquer peel to be found. The wheels are shod in tyres that are still showing 6mm of tread all-round.

Having recently had discs. pads and hoses replaced the braking system feels powerful in operation. pulling the car up quickly in a smooth straight line.

HISTORY FILE
The M3 was first registered April 1988 in Germany. its supplying dealer was Autohaus Hartmann. The car remained in Germany until 1996. where it had a fully stamped service history by BMW main dealers and specialists. Since arriving in the UK the car has had 5 service stamps in the booklet:

01/97 Murketts BMW - 106. 39 km
03/99 Cooper BMW - 110. 08 km
5/00 Independent - 121. 28 km
04/01 Independent - 131. 99 km

Since 2001 there is a gap in the history. however the engine was re-built in 2004 which is documented and there are MOT certificates to track the mileage within this time. The most recent service was carried out by ETA Motorsport BMW Specialists in April 2013.

The original BMW document holder is still present along with all the manuals and service booklet.
