Porsche 911 Targa 1976 2 7 in Melbourne, VIC

 I have for sale a 1976 Porsche 911S Targa which has an unusual history. being discovered in a factory in the UK with just 32000 miles on the clock. It has undergone a complete restoration although there are a few things still remaining to be done. There is too much to mention here but I will cover the major items. br>
Body has been professionally painted inside and out in Porsche Viper Green. The engine lid has been subsequently replaced with a Duck Tail unit which will require painting. All new window and door seals have been fitted. New sports seats and interior. including carpet. There is definitely no rust in this car.

The engine has been dismantled completely and rebuilt with all new components. Upgrades like Carrera chain tensioner's etc have been done and the engine has been run in on the bench and the oil changed. The CIS injection has been replaced with Weber's and the exhaust has been replaced with racing headers and a custom muffler. The ignition is MSD. All the A/C and heating has been removed to reduce weight and increase performance.

The gearbox has been completely dismantled and inspected. The condition would indicate that it was a very low mileage unit.

Both engine and gearbox are original to the car.

All the hard brake lines have been replaced. Flexible lines are stainless. All the calipers have been reconditioned and the disks are all new.

All the wheel bearings and bushes are new.

Most of the wiring has been replaced including the fuse box.

The fuel tank has been replaced with a fuel cell.

Every nut and bolt has been replaced with correct high tensile bolts or stainless steel.

I have deliberately built this car for the enthusiast to use as a weekend cruiser and track day car. but it could be returned to original if that's your thing as I have most of the original parts.

Adjustable shockers
Engine lid paint.
Roll Bar
Engine and suspension tuning.
Your choice of wheels (comes with the original ATS cookie cutters which are in top condition and as new tyres).

I have spent a lot of money and 2 years of my life on this car so I hope it goes to a good home. It is well worth inspecting if you are looking for a nice reliable 911 with very little to do.
